The concert aims to promote Chinese culture through musical and dance performances by young artistes aged between 10 and 25. At the same time, there is a call for corporate and public donors to pledge their support for these young talents by donating to the Challenge. The two schools which raise the most funds through the Youth Talent Concert will receive the "Big Heart Award" from President S R Nathan.
Since 2002, CND has organised many community events to raise funds for charity, namely the National Treasure Hunt, “Show You Care, Buy A Tile”, the ZPop Charity Concert and the Youth Talent Concert.
