6 October 2009, Singapore --- The New Paper New Face 2009 Grand Finals will be held this Thursday (8 October) at Takashimaya Square.
The New Paper (TNP) New Face has discovered fresh faces who went on to have successful careers in modelling and show business over the past 17 years. They include models Christabel Campbell and Nargis Musawwir, actresses Dawn Yeoh and Phyllis Quek, actress/model Jessica Tan, Colleen Francisca who won Mrs Singapore World in 2008, and Miss Singapore Universe 2009 Rachel Kum.
This year's event promises to be an unforgettable show. The twenty fresh-faced finalists will present their best in four exciting sequences, complete with fabulous fashion and great music. Audiences will also be treated to a special performance by the irrepressible Kumar who will definitely spice up the evening in his unique way.
The winner of the New Paper New Face 2009 will bring home the grand prize of $10,000 cash, while the 1st and 2nd runners-up will each win $5,000 and $3,000 cash respectively.
In addition, there will be four subsidiary titles awarded this year. The New Paper Ms Popularity award will be given to the finalist who received the most votes by TNP readers. The other three subsidiary awards are the Subaru Miss Vivacious Award, Miss Levi's Lady Award, and the InnerShine Miss Beautiful Eyes Award.
