Singapore, 23 September 2009 – Sphere Exhibits, a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), is expanding into outdoor lifestyle events a year after its incorporation.
Sphere, which organised a series of consumer exhibitions like The Food Safari and Electronics Fair and Licence2Play, will make its debut in outdoor lifestyle events with Asia on the Edge 2009 (AOTE) tomorrow (24 September). Visitors will witness Sphere’s creative involvement in transforming the Empress Place precinct into a vibrant village featuring nifty craftsmen and culinary experts in action.
At the Waterways, which refers to the AOTE’s outdoor showcase at Empress Place, visitors can look forward to more than 40 booths offering intricate crafts and accessories, and an array of Asian delicacies that will tantalise the tastebuds of both locals and tourists.
Ms Elaine Chia, Marketing Director of Sphere said, “Sphere is making its foray into outdoor lifestyle events and we are happy to be part of AOTE. In the last one and a half years, Sphere has garnered a strong following among its consumers and established an extensive network of partners through its past events. It is a natural progression for Sphere to move into outdoor events to enhance the existing offerings and add more exciting options to Singapore's calendar of activities. With the support and the backing of our parent company, SPH, event participants and attendees can look forward to more novel events from Sphere soon.”
AOTE, organised by The Arts House and PICO, is held in conjunction with the Singapore Grand Prix Season 2009. Admission is free for the activities at the Waterways, which will run from 24 – 27 Sept, starting from 6pm daily.
