omy.sg turns TWO! – double the fun, double the web traffic!

Singapore, 3 September 2009 - Singapore’s leading bilingual news and entertainment web portal, omy.sg, celebrates its second anniversary with a series of fun and entertaining activities, giving out a total of more than S$12,000 in prizes.

Named “Hungry? (饿了吗?)”, the celebration campaign signifies omy.sg’s role in satisfying its users’ hunger for the latest lifestyle and entertainment content. In addition to premier and innovative content such as CLing, a Chinese-learning media platform, it also organises hugely popular events such as the Singapore Blog Awards and Singapore Entertainment Awards.

As a testimony of its success, omy.sg’s page views and unique visitors have doubled from a year ago, reaching a high of more than 10 million page views and over 400,000 unique visitors monthly in July this year (figures via Nielsen Netratings, Sept 2009).

omy.sg Editor, Chua Chim Kang, said: “The past two years have been very exciting for omy.sg. In spite of the recession, we continue to grow from strength-to-strength.”

From now till end September, users can participate in omy.sg's 2nd anniversary special "The TWO Game". This is an extension of the successful “The ONE Game”, played by over 2,000 unique players in just four weeks last year when omy.sg turned one.

Users will be allowed to register one square per person and move two squares every two hours. The objective of the game is to move your own squares to respective squares labelled with prizes that users are eyeing. The earlier you register and play, the higher the chances of winning.

Over $12,000 worth of prizes are up for grabs, including a 3D2N Hong Kong travel package for two, Bintan resort stays and other hotel travel accommodations, Swensen’s ice cream mooncakes and many more. Sponsors include Bintan Lagoon Resort, Asia Web Direct, Hong Kong Tourism Board and Swensen’s.
