Singapore, 1 September 2008 – CATS Classified is revamping and revving up to provide readers with a better experience of buying, selling and finding all they need.
From 2 September 2008, readers will find a fresh and forward-looking CATS Classified, complete with new looks for its covers and its regular advertisement features such as the popular Pets Corner.
The new CATS Classified will also be more focused, with new and better defined classifications and classification flow, all to make it more reader friendly. Some new classifications include "Franchise Opportunities" and "Graphic & Web Design Services", found under "Business", and "Counselling & Psychological Care" under "Professional Services".
To allow advertisers options to make their advertisements more eye catching and stand out from the competition, they now have the option to add colour to their advertisements.
Ms Elsie Chua, Executive Vice President of CATS Classified at Singapore Press Holdings, said: "CATS Classified has made changes to our classification in order to keep our classified ads up to date and relevant to the latest market trends. We hope that both consumers and advertisers will like the new fresh look we are giving to CATS Classified."
In conjunction with the revamp, special activities and promotions have been planned for readers of CATS Classified. These include:
1. CATS Rev Up Readers´ Promotion
Readers can look out for special advertisements containing questions about the new classification guide published in CATS Classified in The Straits Times, Berita Harian, Lianhe Zaobao, Shin Min Daily News, Lianhe Wanbao and The New Paper Fastads between 2 and 13 Sept, 2008. A $10,000 cash prize awaits one lucky reader.
2. The New Paper Wedding Planner
Couples planning for their wedding will find an eclectic array of wedding-related products and services on display at Suntec City Mall, Entertainment Atrium between 12 and 14 September 2008. There will also be a Buyers´ Draw, a Fashion Show, and a "Feed Me With Your Love – Wedding Cake Eating Contest", where couples compete to eat a 1 kg cake in the shortest time in order to win $1,000 in cash.
3. Learning for Success
Those who wish to upgrade themselves academically and improve their career prospects should not miss this exhibition, which showcases more than 400 programmes offered by various education providers. It will be held on 13 September 2008 at the Concourse of Suntec Singapore. Visitors who sign up for any course at the exhibition stand to win a HP Desktop worth $2,499.
4. Career Discovery
An exhibition showcasing numerous positions offered by choice employers, as well as career developing programmes, seminars and talks at Suntec City on 4 and 5 October 2008.
5. Beautiful Homes
