NUYOU “Men We Love” 2007 Party: 25 Distinctive Men, Up Close and Personal!

22 October 2007 - Nuyou magazine´s annual “Men We Love” Party (2007) has arrived.

Men We Love (MWL) is an annual feature in Nuyou, an SPH Magazines Pte Ltd’s publication, that introduces 25 men with desirable qualities, such as successful careers, well balanced family lives, athleticism, good looks and personality. Featured in the October issue, MWL is found in the segment of Nanyou, a male-centric supplement published on the reversed side of Nuyou, a feature unique to Nuyou. Nuyou/Nanyou is published bi-annually, in April and October, with MWL as the anchor feature in October. The MWL party is a signature event that celebrates the unique charm, personality and sartorial tastes of the men who´ve made Nuyou´s MWL Hot list. At this once-a-year, must-attend party, guests can expect a handsome turnout of our island´s most inspiring, personable and success-driven men. It is an opportunity for the 25 men to meet readers who have voted for them through the magazine and win great prizes.

Grace Lee, Editor-in- Chief of Nuyou, who conceptualised this event in 2002 says, “MWL is a interesting editorial subject to explore, an opportunity to profile talented men from different walks of life, who are outstanding in their fields. It is essentially an appreciation of and tribute to men. I would like to take this chance to thank the men for being good sports and their willingness to share their views and experiences with our readers. This feature is very popular among readers, making the issue one of the best selling each year. Readers also look forward to the party, at which they get to meet the team behind their favorite magazine, meet the men in person and rub shoulders with celebrities. Being the leading Chinese language fashion, beauty publication in Singapore for women, we hope to continue to organise events and activities that are relevant to our readers.”

MWL also presents a unique platform for partners to reach out to readers. “MWL provides partners with a refreshing opportunity, steering away from women-only features and events,” says Irene Tan, General Manager of Lifestyle 2, SPH Magazines. “This has been very successful and well received by partners from other lifestyle industries, as it delivers extra value and support to non-women related brands and products.”

At the MWL party, guests will come up close and personal with 25 of Nuyou´s specially selected guys, and can cast a vote for the man they love. Guests will also be dazzled by the sensuous Bachata performance by the dance duo from Actfa School of Dance and Performing Arts.

A grand prize will be awarded to the overall winner. In addition, the 25 Men We Love also stand to win subsidiary awards worth over $6,000. Ladies will not be left out, as those who dress best to the Havana theme will also stand to win Nokia mobile phones.
