Singapore, August 7, 2007 - Two stylish Mercedes Vito vans will be cruising all over Singapore (starting this week in August) to help promote the exciting, new programmes on Radio 91.3FM and Radio 100.3FM as well as the dynamic deejays hosting them.
Manned by deejays from their respective stations, Radio 91.3FM’s 913 Mercedes Vito Thundertruck, which is powered by sponsor Sony Ericsson, and Radio 100.3FM’s 1003 Mercedes Vito Station Van will also take lucky listeners for fun rides. These are among a slew of fun and rewarding activities to engage listeners further and make radio listening a part of their lives.
At stops during their rounds, the radio personalities will engage with the public and listeners in friendly chats and activities in which they can win freebies such as Radio 91.3FM and Radio 100.3FM car decals, Pepsi drinks and Sony Ericsson products. The deejays will also deliver free lunches to loyal fans.
The stunning Mercedes vans are expected to make three trips each day to different parts of the island. Listeners can tune in to their stations to find out their locations. Motorists whose vehicles are spotted with either station´s decal stand to win great prizes.
SPH UnionWorks´ General Manager, Ms Goh Wee Wang says: "We want all our listeners to know we have new members in the family, the two Mercedes Vito Station vans. The DJs will be cruising round the island with the Mercedes Vito to meet fans and reward them with goodies provided by our kind sponsors. In short, we want to be seen and heard everywhere, everyday. Not just do we want to make radio listening a part of people’s lives, we also want to thank listeners for making the switch over to our two stations."
News shows, new DJ line-ups
Today, SPH UnionWorks boasts a formidable stable of radio deejays, most of whom are household names, to host redesigned shows of higher infortainment and entertainment value.
Earlier this week, Radio 100.3FM, a Mandarin station, changed and enhanced its hosting schedule with more entertainment news, hot gossip and contest giveaways. It will launch a new radio drama on August 13.
Radio 91.3FM, an English language station, has won more fans over, according to last week´s Stomp poll which showed that Rod Monteiro was the most popular radio deejay of the evening drivetime segment among listeners. Rod joined Radio 91.3FM in July and hosts the entertaining ‘The Married Men´ show with his brand new team on weekdays. Radio 91.3FM is also the Number 2 station for females in 25-44 age group in A C Nielsen´s Radio Survey.
