Bid for the uniquely enhanced Chevrolet Spark to help ex-cons

Singapore, 14 June You don’t have to dig too deep into your pocket in order to bid for Singapore´s one and only uniquely enhanced Chevrolet Spark in the U Bid, U Drive online auction which began on June 11.

Starting at at zero dollar with every incremental bid set at $10, the bidding for General Motors Corp’s new Chevy will enable participants to do their bit in a charitable scheme to help ex-offenders.

What will make this Chevrolet Spark stand out from the rest is that it is being given a facelift with tinted windows, Bluetooth-headsets sound system, fog lights, and modified wheels and tyres.

The public can bid for the cheery-yellow car at - www.udrive.com.sg - from now till 11.59pm on June 29.
The bidding is held in conjunction with the SPH UnionWorks´ uDrive membership roadshow to be held on 29 to 30 June, at Toa Payoh HDB Hub. Valued at $48,000, the enhanced Chevrolet Spark will be displayed during the roadshow.

Proceeds from the winning bid will go to the Yellow Ribbon Fund, which helps reformed offenders get back on their feet and re-adjust successfully in mainstream society. To start the engine of any vehicle, you need a key. Likewise, in order to give ex-offenders a second chance, a “key” is also needed to unlock the social barrier that they face.

SPH UnionWorks hopes to garner the support of the public to do their bit for charity and give moral support to ex-cons in their rehabilitation through participation in the U Bid, U Drive auction and the roadshow, that SPH UnionWorks is organising on behalf of NTUC and promoting on its two radio stations, Radio 91.3 and Radio 100.3.

If you want to win the special limited-edition Chevrolet Spark, join the bidding frenzy today! Many have already done so.
