Singapore, 26 February 2019 - HWM, Singapore’s leading tech magazine, and HardwareZone.com, Singapore’s No.1 online technology portal,announced the winners of the 2019 HWM+HardwareZone.com Tech Awards at the National Gallery Singapore today.
72 awards were up for grabs this year, comprising 43 Readers’ Choice and 29 Editor’s Choice, including four Innovation Awards. To keep pace with market and technology trends, 15 award categories were retired from last year's list, with 15 new categories introduced across both Readers’ and Editor’s Choice segments this year.
These new award categories include Editor’s Choice Best Gaming Smartphone, Editor’s Choice Best Gaming Headset, Editor’s Choice Best Gaming Notebook, and Readers’ Choice Best Gaming Headset Brand, reflecting how the growing popularity of video games has influenced tech product design over the past year.
ASUS continues their dominance in the Tech Awards, once again emerging as the biggest winner of the afternoon, snagging a total of nine awards (three Editor’s Choice and six Readers’ Choice), adding one more to their tally of eight from last year. Other top winners include Sony and Canon with a total of seven and five awards respectively.
