- Singapore’s largest kids, health and family event is back! Come spend the ultimate family weekend during the Youth Day weekend from 29 June - 1 July.
The nation’s longest running children exhibition, The Kidz Academy will happen alongside Baby Baby and Health Fiesta, making it a mega three-generation family event under one roof.
The three events cover a combined floorspace of over 15,000 sqm across Halls 5 and 6 at the Singapore Expo, with more than 180 exhibitors on show. The opening hours are from 10.30am to 8.00pm, and admission is free for all three events.
These three events are organised by Sphere Exhibits Pte Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore Press Holdings Ltd (SPH).
The Kidz Academy
Targeting primary school students, it is also for parents, caregivers, educators and anyone working with young learners between ages 7 and 12 years old.
Interactive and Engaging Competitions:
This year, The Kidz Academy has a dedicated Competition segment where three partners have been invited to organise exciting competitions. More than 600 participants are expected during the 3-day period.
The first event is the Asia Pacific Youth Robotics Competition (APYRC) organised by IN3LABS PTE LTD. This is a robotics competition on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics topics that brings young people together to develop creative problem-solving skills. Participants can also design and build a robot to compete in the various robotics challenges.
The second event is the World Sport Stacking Association’s Asians Elite Sport Stacking Championships 2018. Sport Stacking is also known as the Ultimate Track Meet for the hands where well-trained participants stack up and down stack cups at warp speed. There will be more than 100 participants from five Asian countries participating in the Individual, Doubles, Parent-child and Relay categories.
And for the third year running, The Kidz Academy will host more than 1200 students in the Speak Up! Kids competition. This is Singapore’s first national public speaking competition for primary level students. Created by Sphere Exhibits and Speech Academy Asia, this competition aims to inculcate the ‘Three C’s mindset’ – Communication, Confidence and Creativity. The semi-finals took place at the SPH Toa Payoh News Centre Auditorium on 30-31 May over a 2-day period with over 400 students.
Exploring Arts & Science:
A new feature this year is the Butterfly Park and Insect Kingdom located at Booth F01. This is a 60-sqm inflatable filled with various butterfly species. There are also bookmark-making workshops and stage performances not to be missed! Visitors can learn about the life-cycle of the butterfly and understand more about other insects in the Insect Kingdom. The Science Centre Singapore (Booth B01) showcases its latest musical production called “One Kind of Science” with KidsSTOP, in conjunction with the Singapore Kindness Movement. KidsSTOP is Science Centre Singapore’s dedicated Children’s service. Children aged 8 years and below can learn to inquire, investigate and innovate in a conducive learning environment that focuses on science topics. Science Centre Singapore will also be conducting science-related activities and workshops at The Kidz Academy.
From singing to acting, Talentime welcomes children of all ages. This competition is open to children from ages 5 to 12 and the top three participants will walk away with attractive prizes!
Other exciting activities include Gorilla Climbing and Inflatable Dart and Archery games for children to play and have fun throughout the day!
First time exhibitors on board with The Kidz Academy:
The Kidz Academy welcome first-time exhibitors such as Chalk and Pencils, Tenopy, Fortitudo SG, ArtsKidz and Brain Bridge on board.
Chalk n Pencils (Booth D14) provides weekly art classes and holiday programs for children (drawing, pastels, charcoal, oil painting, acrylic painting, watercolour painting). They are tailored to specific age groups and the lessons can be customised for students to get the best learning experience.
Fortitudo (Booth D10) provides holistic child-centered workshops, activities and talks to help children build fortitude as a foundation for success. These programs help the child seize opportunities and rise to challenges.
Visitors at The Kidz Academy 2018 can also look forward to the following activities:

Health Fiesta 2018
The three-day event reaches out to individuals aged 40 years and above, with health, wellness and nutrition products from more than 90 exhibitors.
At Health Fiesta 2018, visitors will be empowered, enriched and entertained through educational seminars and workshops, fitness sessions as well as cooking demonstrations.
