Legendary Singaporean footballer Fandi Ahmad's three eldest children, Irfan, Ikhsan and Iman Fandi kick off the New Year as Harper’s BAZAAR Singapore’s January 2018 Cover Stars

Singapore, 22 December 2017 - For its first issue of 2018, Harper’s BAZAAR Singapore celebrates kinship by welcoming the Fandis - Irfan, 20, Ikhsan, 18, and Iman, 17 - on its cover.

Kenneth Goh, Editor-in-Chief of Harper’s BAZAAR Singapore, said: “I’ve been waiting for years to feature the Fandi kids since I saw them grow up in the public eye. They represent the new millennium stars - children with famous surnames who are immediately trussed into the limelight since birth. But these kids have that certain X-factor that still keeps them grounded despite their burgeoning social media followers and incredible good looks. Watch out world -the Fandi’s have arrived.”

Touted as Singapore’s answer to the Beckhams, the eldest children of football sensation Fandi Ahmad and top model Wendy Jacobs are poised to become Singapore’s brightest stars in sports and fashion. Between them, the siblings boast more than 150,000 followers on Instagram.

The attractive and talented trio are learning to step out from the shadows of their well-known family name. Irfan was singled out by British newspaper The Guardian as “one of the top 40 young talents in the world of football.” Ikhsan, too, is settling into the role of striker on Young Lions FC. The only girl amongst five siblings - Ilhan, 14, and Iryan, 11, round up the brood - Iman Fandi is also forging her own path, making inroads into the modelling industry and juggling a psychology course at the same time. 

The January 2018 cover and spread was styled by Harper’s BAZAAR Singapore’s Senior Fashion Editor Windy Aulia and shot by renowned photographer and BAZAAR’s frequent collaborator Gan. The cover story is by BAZAAR’s Associate Fashion News Editor Gerald Tan. 

This is Irfan, Iman and Ikhsan Fandi’s very first high fashion cover, joining a long list of celebrities who have graced the covers of Harper’s BAZAAR Singapore, including Kate Hudson, Christy Turlington Burns, Alessandra Ambrosio, Janet Jackson, Victoria Beckham, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Chiara Ferragni and more.
