- Editorial content, fundamental data and social media combined to provide unique information access and offer a holistic approach to investment in Catalist companies
Singapore, 19 July 2017 – ShareInvestor, a subsidiary of Singapore Press Holdings (“SPH”), will develop a new portal – Investor-One (www.Investor-One.com) to raise the corporate profiles and highlight the investment merits of Catalist companies. The portal also aims to attract aspiring companies seeking a Catalist listing by providing relevant information on governance and financing matters.
Targeted at investors, traders, analysts and Catalist company owners, Investor-One is a one-stop platform with user-rich content such as live news, interviews, fundamental and technical data, social media content, updates and corporate announcements of Catalist companies. It covers topics ranging from finance, governance, legal and marketing.
Investor-One offers new and curated content. It aggregates content pulled from across publications/platforms of SPH such as The Business Times and The Straits Times, the Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX) and from other third-party sources. It will also have a dedicated editorial team that will produce content such as corporate profiles and videos that take a behind-the-scenes look at Catalist company owners.
The sections of Investor-One will include:
News and analysis
Video and audio webcasts
Leveraging on InvestingNote.com, a free new-generation online forum and social media platform that ShareInvestor has a stake in, Investor-One aims to form a community of investors in Catalist counters where they can exchange investment ideas and access financial insights and information.
Investor-One will have a mobile-friendly interface for quick and convenient access through all web browsers, operating systems and across all digital devices such as desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones.
The development of the Investor-One is spearheaded by ShareInvestor, and supported by SGX through its Investor Education Fund, and two Catalist Full Sponsors - Prime Partners Corporate Finance (PPCF) and SAC Capital (SACC).
Established since 2009, SGX’s Investor Education Fund seeks to support initiatives that help and empower investors to make better informed investment decisions.
Investor-One is scheduled to go live by end of the year, in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of the creation of the Catalist board by SGX.
To cater to the needs of fast-growing companies, Catalist was structured to provide faster time-to-market and more headroom for secondary fundraising, acquisitions and disposal, giving companies the flexibility of accelerated growth under a sponsor-driven regime. Companies seeking a Catalist listing are not required to fulfil any minimum earnings, operational track record or market capitalisation requirements, but needs to be deemed ready for listing by an accredited Catalist sponsor.
Catalist Full Sponsors, such as PPCF and SACC, are authorised by SGX to conduct introduction activities to prepare companies seeking listing on Catalist as well as advising and supervising both new and listed companies on compliance and governance matters.
Mr Christopher Lee, Chief Executive Officer, ShareInvestor, said: “ShareInvestor is pleased to have the partnership of PPCF, SAC and SGX in the development of the Investor-One portal, given their rich experience and expertise in supporting Catalist companies. This collaboration will create greater awareness of the value of Catalist counters and boost investor interest. Given ShareInvestor’s expertise in online investor relations, events management and real-time market data and news, Investor-One will serve as the first stop for investors to assess the investment merits of Catalist companies.”
Mr Mohamed Nasser Ismail, Head of Equity Capital Market (SME) and Head of Capital Market Development, SGX, said, “Over the past decade, Catalist has been the listing platform of choice for many dynamic and fast-growing companies. Today, it is home to some 200 Singapore homegrown and international companies across diverse sectors with a regional or even global market presence. As Catalist marks 10 years of championing business growth and supporting fast-growing companies and entrepreneurs this year, we are certainly encouraged by this initiative led by ShareInvestor, to educate and raise investor awareness on the companies listed on Catalist.”
