Singapore, 25 October 2016 – SPH Magazines announces the appointment of Mr Ivan Wong as Commercial Director, SPHM. In this role, he will be driving the strategic commercial directions for the SPH Magazines Women’s Network, including titles such as Cleo, Harper’s Bazaar, The Singapore Women’s Weekly and The Finder. Ivan is a marketing services professional with 12 years of experience in integrated communications planning, media investment management and business development. He has worked across multiple industries in various capacities, including advertising. Starting his career as an Executive with Mindshare Singapore, Ivan was there for four years before moving to Starcom Media Singapore as a Manager in 2007. He then spent a year with MPG Asia Pacific Pte Ltd as International Director, before he joined IPG Mediabrands in 2011 as Business Director. In 2014, he returned to Mindshare Singapore, where he held the position of Managing Partner until he left in September 2016. In addition to running both the top and bottom lines of the business unit, he was instrumental in new business development, including digital product excellence. Ivan’s extensive media agency background will stand him in good stead as he guides the team in developing transformational client solutions. He reports to Managing Director Maureen Wee.
