Singapore, 8 August 2016 – In celebration of Singapore’s 51st birthday, Lianhe Zaobao will offer free and full access to its premium digital content and e-paper on 9 and 10 August 2016.

Lianhe Zaobao took on a new look on 21 July 2016 in both print and digital format that is eye-catching and more reader friendly. To keep up with the trend of using mobile devices to go online, web pages will be adjusted to suit screens of different sizes for the convenience of readers. The Lianhe Zaobao app has also undergone a revamp to make it more user-friendly. Breaking news, digital-exclusive content and videos are available on Lianhe Zaobao’s website and apps for free.

Ms Han Yong May, Digital Editor of Chinese Media Group and Associate Editor of Lianhe Zaobao said: "Whilst Lianhe Zaobao has strengthened its offering of free content on the revamped website, non-subscribers of Lianhe Zaobao do not have access to print edition articles and e-paper, as well as newly-added features which include reading the full content of news stories scheduled for the next day and sharing advertisements in Lianhe Zaobao in the PDF format. Non-subscribers will now have the opportunity to access these premium content and features for free over the next two days.”
