Health & You Exhibition 2016 back with wide range of health offerings

Singapore, 4 July 2016 - Health & You Exhibition, the annual health and wellness exhibition jointly organised by The Straits Times - Mind & Body and Lianhe Zaobao - LOHAS is back for the 12th year. The two-day exhibition will be held at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, Halls 401 - 403 on 9 and 10 July 2016, from 9am to 9pm. Admission is free.

Visitors can expect a wide range of health, nutrition and wellness products and services all under one roof. They include health supplements, the latest alkaline ionised water systems, health accessories and hearing aids, as well as hair and skincare offerings. In addition, exhibitors will be offering various complimentary health checks and showcasing their latest products.

Besides attractive deals and exciting activities lined up for all ages, there are four thematic zones to showcase the building blocks of health:

1) Active Lifestyle
Visitors can experience wellness with the not-to-be-missed complimentary fitness classes by GuavaPass, a monthly membership which allows members to find, book and enjoy unlimited classes at top fitness studios across Asia. This is the first time GuavaPass is taking part in Health & You Exhibition and conducting free trial fitness classes.

2) Green Living
Visitors who want to embrace nature can sign up for these refreshing workshops.

3) Seminar Rooms 
Visitors who want to find out more on various health topics can register for seminars and talks. 

Seminar Room 301 (Level 3)

Eight specialist doctors from Mount Elizabeth and Mount Elizabeth Novena hospitals will touch on topics from breast lumps and heart health to diabetes and how to care for your feet. A registration fee of $5 per person per session will be charged. To register, log on to http://bit.ly/healthandyou2016 before 8 July, midnight. The seminar is limited to 160 people, on a first-come-first-serve basis. The fee includes a goodie bag worth more than $20.

Seminar Room 302 (Level 3)

Doctors and specialists will focus on health topics such as causes and prevention of Alzheimer's disease, stroke, thyroid and other chronic illness, weight loss and nutrition myths.
Talks are conducted in English and free unless otherwise stated. To register, please log on toasiaone.com/healthandyou before 8 July, midnight. Each talk is limited to 100 people, on a first-come-first-serve basis.

4) Kids' Corner
Kids and parents can take part in various fun art-related activities provided by Art Speaks Studio. The activities are free and will run from 11am to 6pm daily. Registration will be held on-site at the Kids' Corner within the exhibition halls.

Stage highlights
Take part in the Sandwich / Burger making competition (within Halls 401-403) and create a unique version of a wholesome sandwich or burger within 30 minutes and stand a chance to win attractive cash prizes. There are two categories, Healthy Sandwich Contest Kids Category, 2pm, both days, and Healthy Burger Contest Open Category, 3pm, both days. The semi-finals will be held on Saturday, 9 July and the finals on 10 July

To take part, email to mkghealthandyou@sph.com.sg, indicating name, contact number, category and the recipe of sandwich/burger before 4 July, midnight, with "Create a wholesome sandwich / burger contest" as subject title. Kids aged 7 to 12 years old are eligible for the Kids' Category; the Open Category is open to participants of all ages. Short-listed participants will be contacted regarding the full contest details via email by 6 July 2016. The judging criteria is relevance to theme, tastiness and presentation.

Kids' Category Prizes:
1st Prize: $500 cash
2nd Prize: $300 cash
3rd Prize: $150 cash

Consolation: $50 cash x 3 winners

Open Category Prizes:
1st Prize: $800 cash

Shoppers' Draw
Shoppers who spend $50 in a single receipt will stand a chance to win cash prizes. Ten lucky shoppers will each win $500 cash. Limited to five lucky draw coupons per receipt per person. Properties

SPH REIT is a Singapore-based REIT established to invest in a portfolio of income-producing real estate primarily for retail purposes. SPH REIT comprises Paragon, a premier upscale retail mall and medical suite/office property in Orchard Road and The Clementi Mall, a mid-market suburban mall in the centre of Clementi town.

The Seletar Mall, located in Sengkang, is SPH's latest retail development. This property is a potential asset to be injected into SPH REIT. SPH’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Times Development Pte Ltd, also developed a 43-storey upmarket residential condominium, Sky@eleven, at Thomson Road.
