SPH websites ranked top by advertisers and marketers

Singapore, 15 December 2015 – Singapore Press Holdings' (SPH) websites are the preferred choices of advertisers and marketers when planning their digital media campaigns, according to the recent Digital Media of the Year survey by trade magazine Marketing. 

750 industry professionals participated in this survey, including decision makers and director-level marketers who were well represented. Almost 96 per cent of client-advertiser respondents were manager-level decision makers and above with 14 per cent from the most senior ranks. Advertisers from major banks, FMCG companies, property and construction, IT and telecommunications firms, as well as travel and tourism companies were polled. 

Websites of SPH and its wholly-owned subsidiary SPH Magazines Pte Ltd (SPH Magazines) did well in the survey. In particular, SPH and SPH Magazines’ websites ranked top in the Business & Finance, Women, Tech and Cars categories, as well as among the favourites in the Men, Luxury and News categories.

SPH's Financial daily The Business Times' website ( was ranked advertisers' most preferred website in the Business & Finance category.

SPH dominated the News category with The Straits Times' website ( in second place and AsiaOne ( took third place.  

In the Cars category, sgCarMart ( took first placing while print magazine Torque's website ( by SPH Magazines was placed third. 

SPH Magazines were also advertisers' preferred websites with herworldPLUS ( and Cleo (, and HardwareZone ( besting the competition in the Women and Tech categories respectively. Men's Health ( and The Peak ( were both in second placing in the Men and Luxury categories.

SPH has a 20 per cent stake in MediaCorp TV Holdings Pte Ltd, which operates free-to-air channels 5, 8 and U, and a 40 per cent stake in MediaCorp Press Limited, which publishes the free newspaper, Today.


SPH REIT is a Singapore-based REIT established to invest in a portfolio of income-producing real estate primarily for retail purposes. SPH REIT comprises Paragon, a premier upscale retail mall and medical suite/office property in Orchard Road and The Clementi Mall, a mid-market suburban mall in the centre of Clementi town.

The Seletar Mall, located in Sengkang, is SPH's latest retail development. This property is a potential asset to be injected into SPH REIT. SPH’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Times Development Pte Ltd, also developed a 43-storey upmarket residential condominium, Sky@eleven, at Thomson Road.
