ONE FM 91.3 and UFM100.3 listenership on a climb

Singapore, 3 December 2015 – SPH Radio stations ONE FM 91.3 and UFM100.3 saw increases across cumulative listenership, market share and time spent listening, based on the latest  Nielsen Radio Diary Survey Results for 2015 released today.

ONE FM 91.3 experienced a jump in its cumulative listenership, since radio legends Glenn Ong and The Flying Dutchman joined the radio station this year. Listenership increased from 243,000 to 260,000 for the 11-month old radio station, based on the survey results.  Market share, the percentage of radio listening audience tuning in to a particular station, also grew from 1.8% to 2.3%. Time spent listening surged to an average of close to 6 hours of listening. 

Glenn Ong and The Flying Dutchman returned to the airwaves in July 2015 to  helm ONE FM’s #1 Breakfast Show on weekdays from 6-10am, bringing the latest news, sports and lifestyle topics to their listeners.

Glenn Ong, Senior Presenter for ONE FM 91.3, said: “It’s a successful combination of working with a passionate team, as well as the station’s bold positioning of targeting men and playing popular guitar-based songs. It’s been a real, good journey since we joined ONE FM 91.3 and we will continue to climb the airwaves.”

ONE FM 91.3 is Singapore’s only radio station targeting men aged 30 years old and above, with contests specially created to reward its male listeners. The station recently concluded a COURTS – ONE FM $20,000 Ultimate Man Cave giveaway, where more than 5,000 votes were cast as listeners voted for their must-have Man Cave item for their home. ONE FM 91.3 is also the only radio station playing Real Music, with hits from artistes such as AC/DC, Queen, Def Leppard and more. ONE FM also presented Def Leppard Live in Singapore, as the popular band performed to a near sell out concert in November. 

SPH Radio’s Mandarin radio station UFM100.3 also saw a jump in cumulative listenership, from 330,000 to 358,000 listeners. The Mandarin station charted the largest growth in market share, from 4.8% to 5.9%. Time spent listening was also longer, with the average listener tuning in to the station for 11 hours and 16 minutes.

The station gave away more than $11,000 worth of cash prizes to lucky listeners through its Tune In and Win campaign.

SPH Radio’s Kiss92 continues to be one of Singapore’s top English radio stations with 596,000 listeners. Kiss92 celebrated Love at Sea with Royal Caribbean, with more than 5,000 entries received over an eight week campaign where listeners stood a chance to win six themed cruises onboard the luxury cruise ship.

Singapore's fastest growing station, Kiss92, targets women and families. With a listenership of 596,000*, Kiss92 provides in-depth women and family content, coupled with adult contemporary music. Women aged 30 and above, and families will find the channel informative and entertaining.

Maddy, Jason and Arnold in the morning, start the day from 6am to 10pm, followed by Claressa Monteiro jazzing up the afternoon from10am to 1pm, Charmaine Yee from 1pm to 4pm and John Klass taking fans home helming the 4pm to 8pm show.

UFM100.3 is a highly-charged Mandarin music station targeting at working professionals aged between 35 – 49 years that is specially catered to their lifestyle. Its creative, lively and engaging delivery style is able to consistently hook listeners on for a far longer period of listening. The music played on UFM100.3 includes popular and familiar hits which the listeners love, while program content is designed to cater specifically for the busy individuals with timely updates and discussion.

The station’s drive-time programmes are anchored by veteran DJs Wenhong, Limei and Xiaozhu in the morning followed by DJ Anna from 10am to 1pm. Yuling takes over from 1pm to 4pm and makes way for Jing Yun and Liang Quan from 4pm to 8pm. Cheng Yao rounds up the day from 8pm to 12am.

The station actively engages its listeners through various interactive events such as dinner gatherings and enrichment workshops. To further strengthen loyalty, DJs also reaches out to the public through its outdoor activations, conducting games and giveaway prizes while introducing the station to new potential listeners. UFM100.3 also supports various community, non-profit and charity organizations with its annual U-Shine program that raises public awareness of lesser known causes and charities.
