Over 700 respondents participated in the survey, which included advertising decision-makers and influencers across key agencies. Nearly 87% of client-advertiser respondents were manager-level decision makers and above, with 10% from the most senior ranks of client-advertisers and another 18% from VPs and director-level ranks. Advertisers from major and local international banks, FCMG companies, property and construction, IT and telecommunications firms, as well as those from travel and tourism companies participated in the survey. Agency professionals from across the marketing services spectrum were also well represented.
In particular, SPH Magazines dominated the women’s market yet again with Singapore’s number one women’s magazine Her World clinching the top spot in the categories of Overall Magazine of the Year and Women’s Magazine of the Year. Two other female titles, Cleo and The Singapore Women’s Weekly were also ranked top three in the Women’s Magazine of the Year category. Harper’s Bazaar and Female took first and second placing respectively in the Women’s Fashion Magazine of the Year category.
SPH Magazines’ luxury title, The Peak ranked first in the Luxury Magazine of the Year category and third place in the Overall Magazine of the Year category, while Men’s Health and Nanyou ranked first and third place in the Men’s Magazine of the Year category respectively.
Other titles which won the top place in their respective categories were SPH Magazines’ custom titleSilverKris for the Inflight Magazine of the Year category, Torque for Motor Vehicle Magazine of the Year,HardwareMAG (HWM) for Consumer Electronics Magazine of the Year and Young Parents for Parenting Magazine of the Year. Chinese publications ICON and Nuyou were ranked second and third in the Chinese Magazine of the Year category while lifestyle magazine Action Asia ranked third in the Travel Magazine of the Year category.
