Gaming galore and irresistible deals on offer at COMEX 2015

Singapore, 1 September 2015 - COMEX, Singapore’s largest IT, Digital, Mobile and Consumer Electronics Exhibition, will  be taking place from Thursday to Sunday, 3 to 6 September, 12pm to 9pm daily at the Suntec Exhibition and Convention Centre. 

COMEX is organised by Exhibits Inc, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sphere Exhibits. Sphere Exhibits is the events and exhibition subsidiary of SPH. This year marks the 22nd edition of COMEX, and the show offers enhancements, with new highlights and attractions as well as bringing numerous irresistible deals together under one roof for the convenience of shoppers. 


Trade-In Programme

The successful trade-in programme at IT SHOW which took place in March this year now makes its debut at COMEX, and covers more product categories - laptops, smartphones, tablets, monitors, desktop PCs, GPS* and gaming consoles.  

Located the entrance of Halls 402 & 403 at Level 4, visitors can trade in their old or faulty gadgets for cash vouchers to help fund the purchase of their dream gadget at the show. At COMEX this year, monitors and desktop PCs in addition to laptops, smartphones and tablets, can also be traded in for cash vouchers. 

Visitors can also trade in old in-car portable GPS navigation device or GPS sports watch at the entrance of Hall 402 to receive a $50 TomTom voucher. This voucher can be redeemed at Booth 305 at Level 3 for selected TomTom models.

To tie in with GAMEX, a new show highlight at COMEX, gamers can now trade their old gaming consoles and handheld portables in exchange for cash vouchers at the entrance of Hall 604 on Level 6.

Cash vouchers can be redeemed at COMEX 2015 only and come in denominations of $5 and $10. The vouchers are accepted by most participating brands and exhibitors at COMEX 2015, except mobile and broadband providers, banks, credit card and insurance companies.

GAMEX

Gamers are in for a real treat with the GAMEX pavilion at Hall 605 on Level 6. 

The “Free-for-All” challenge area boasts more than ten different games and activities and includes popular titles such as DOTA2Counterstrike GOAlliance of Valiant ArmsEndGodsNBA2K15Build your RigStreet Fighter 5FIFA 15 and more. Gamers can take up the challenges and earn credits that they can use at the Coloseum Marketplace, where they can redeem for more than 300 prizes. 

There are game showcases for top-rated flagship game titles from online game publishers such as “Alliance of Valiant Arms”, a new first-person shooter from Garena. Gamers can also get a sneak peek and try out the fifth edition of the ever- popular Street Fighter on Sony Playstation 4 or “Gears of War: Ultimate Edition” on Xbox One. The EndGods mobile game that is already ranked as the number 1 strategy game on Google Play will also be showcased. 

Expect some real deals from major brands including Razer, BenQ, Logitech and Creative at the Colosseum Marketplace. Gamers will be able to find a wide range of gaming computers, professional gaming gear, accessories and IT products on offer. 

For serious cosplayers and cosplay fans alike, get up close with the award-winning team Cosplay Stage Laboratory from South Korea. Showgoers at COMEX 2015 will meet characters from League of Legends and Harley Quinn from Batman: Arkham Knight. 

You can also build your own customised PC at the Build-Your-Rig (BYR) workshop. Pick up valuable tips on the inner workings of a PC and how to get peak performance out of your PC to meet your personal needs. There is also a competition where the person who can build a PC from scratch in the quickest time will stand to win fantastic prizes. Participants who purchase any gaming PC or computer components from the Colosseum Marketplace can enter a lucky draw and stand to win a gaming computer. 

The total gaming experience is not complete without treats offered by Monster Energy. Gamers can look forward to energy drinks on the house from Monster Energy. There are also the “Beauty and the Geek” mini challenges at the Monster Energy station. 


Auction Time, Brand Time, Fashion Time 

The stage area located at level 4 is another key show highlight of COMEX 2015 that will be the centre of promotional activities reaching out to showgoers. 

Auction Time will see consumers who qualify with a minimum spend of $100 get a shot at purchasing products from Lenovo, Audio-Technica, ASUS and Sennheiser below their retail prices. To participate, visitors will need to redeem an auction bidding ticket from the Organiser’s Office located at the entrance of Hall 603, Level 6. The Auction will take place at 5.00pm on FridaySaturday and Sunday and there are limited places. Items to be auctioned off include the ASUS UX305LA, Audio-Technica ATH-S300BK Headphones, Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Windows, just to name a few.

Brand Time was created to pull down the barriers between brands and consumers where visitors can engage with participating exhibitors such as Dell, Audio-Technica, Samsung, Sony and Lenovo to learn more about their latest products and offerings. They also stand to win prizes from the various giveaways and contests held by the participating exhibitors.

Fashion Time at COMEX 2015 will showcase the latest gadgets from various brands, including mobile and wearable technology. The five COMEX Booth babes as selected by our Facebook page fans will join other booth babes from Sony, Asus, Acronis, Armaggeddon and Elysium to put on a dazzling display. Fashion Time takes place twice daily at 2.00pm and 6.30pm at the stage area on Level 4.

Visitors can also stand a chance to win attractive cash prizes simply by snapping a selfie with any of the Booth Babes at COMEX. Here’s how:

Tech Showcase

The Tech Showcase is the highly-anticipated section of COMEX 2015 where the latest and most talked-about technology from ASUS, Dell, Lenovo, Samsung, HP, Vivo Mobile etc will be on show for the public to try out.  

Some highlights include:
