Glenn Ong and The Flying Dutchman are back on radio with ONE FM 91.3!

Singapore, 6 July 2015 – Fans have been asking for it and now it has finally happened! The long awaited reunion of Singapore’s radio legends on Singapore's airwaves. ONE FM 91.3 today unveiled Glenn Ong and Mark Van Cuylenburg, better known as The Flying Dutchman, as their latest additions.

The duo of Glenn Ong and The Flying Dutchman will now helm ONE FM’s Breakfast Show on weekdays from six to ten am, along with Andre Hoeden. Prior to this, Hoeden anchored the ONE FM #2 Breakfast Show with Part-time Pete.

The return of the much loved duo is highly anticipated, since they last parted hosting their last radio show together in August 2013.

Glenn Ong, who left his previous employment in January 2015, says: “I’m excited to be back on-air with a radio station that offers a promise of real, good radio. I’m raring to go after a six month break. It was great that I had time to pursue my passion for Brazilian Jujitsu and spending more time with my loved ones, but I’ve missed radio. I’m refreshed, re-energised, and ready to take on the airwaves again and there is no one else better to do it with than with my radio partner for life.”

The Flying Dutchman, who has been occupied with his business ventures since he left the airwaves in December 2014, is equally excited. Said Mark: “I mentioned in past interviews that he is my best radio partner and he still is. Together, we keep our show real and our reunion is the beginning of good things to come with a radio station that I believe knows what they are doing. I am lucky to be able to spend more time with my family during my break and concentrate on my business but I would be lying if I said I didn’t miss radio. Well now I am back!  Glenn and The Flying Dutchman are back. For real.”

Fans can expect double the entertainment from Glenn and The Flying Dutchman, with real chemistry honed from 10 years worth of co-hosting together.

ONE FM 91.3 scored a coup with the radio legends joining the station. Said Mr Jamie Meldrum, Senior Programme Director: “Glenn and The Flying Dutchman are the perfect fit for ONE FM 91.3 as they have a great understanding of what their listeners want, which translates to great radio. Fans want them back and their radio comeback is highly anticipated. With the full ONE FM team all lined up, it is going to be an awesome year for ONE FM 91.3 and for the men of Singapore.”

ONE FM 91.3 is a SPH Radio station, and the only radio station in Singapore targeting men over 30 years old. During the recent Nielsen Radio Diary Survey results released on 2 July 2015, the station debuted with 243,000 cumulative listenership.

This unveiling was after weeks of teasing on ONE FM 91.3’s Guess the DJ contest. $10,000 cash was up for grabs to one lucky listener who correctly guessed the mystery DJs joining the station.

Listeners can tune in to ONE FM 91.3 for details of upcoming activities with the breakfast show.
