"See The Big Picture" recognised for Best Use of Mobile at The MARKies

Singapore, 27 May 2015 - "See The Big Picture", a PR campaign organised by Singapore Press Holdings Limited (SPH) in celebration of its 30th anniversary last year, won the Best Use of Mobile award at The MARKies this evening, held at Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore. 

The MARKies, organised by Marketing-Interactive, aim to celebrate the most creative and effective campaigns or projects spanning Singapore's diverse marketing services industry. It evaluates individual entries focusing on either creative ideas or the innovative use of media.   

Mr Alan Chan, Chief Executive Officer of SPH, said: "The 'See The Big Picture' campaign demonstrated our desire and ability to constantly innovate and engage all our stakeholders using our wide spectrum of media platforms. Besides being an effective media and PR campaign, it also showcases our active corporate citizenry."

The “See the Big Picture” campaign organised by SPH and Germs Digital featured autistic savant Stephen Wiltshire, who drew Singapore's cityscape from memory at Paragon in July 2014. It attracted over 150,000 visitors in five days. As part of its active corporate citizenry, SPH also invited special needs and underprivileged children to meet and interact with Mr Wiltshire. The 4m X 1m Singapore panorama was presented to President Tony Tan Keng Yam last September, as SPH's gift to the nation for Singapore's 50th birthday. It is now on display at URA’s Singapore City Gallery. SPH has given merchandising rights of the artwork to Pathlight School. Pathlight, the first autism-focused school in Singapore that offers a unique blend of mainstream academic curriculum and life readiness skills, has produced exclusive prints and unique merchandise adapted from the artwork. · Second prize for Best Use of an Event to Grow a News Brand at the INMA Awards 2015
· Gold for Best in Community Service at the Asian Media Awards 2015 
· One silver award for Best PR Idea and One bronze award for Most Creative PR Stunt at the PR Awards 2015 
· Three gold awards for Best Brand Awareness Campaign, Best Original Content and Best Use Of Mobile For An Event, and one silver award for Best Integration of Mobile at the Mob-Ex Awards 2015  
· One gold award for Best Web Video - Documentary by SPH Razor at the W³ Awards 2014 
· Three silver awards for Best Consumer Event, Best Exhibition Event and Best Multi-Channel Campaign at the Marketing Events Awards 2014 
· One bronze award for Entertainment & Branded Content – Live Experience at the Creative Circle Awards 2014

SPH has a 20 per cent stake in MediaCorp TV Holdings Pte Ltd, which operates free-to-air channels 5, 8 and U, and a 40 per cent stake in MediaCorp Press Limited, which publishes the free newspaper, Today.

Online Classified and New Media
SPH's online classified and new media initiatives include ST701, the leading online marketplace for jobs (STJobs), property (STProperty), cars (STCars) and general classifieds (STClassifieds), sgCarmart and Streetsine; Asiaone, Stomp, omy.com and SPH Razor. 

SPH's regional joint venture online classified business, 701Search, has a number of leading online classified sites in the region.

Events and Out-of-Home Advertising
Sphere Exhibits, Sphere Conferences, Exhibits Inc and Bizlink Exhibition Services organise innovative consumer and trade events and exhibitions as well as large scale conferences in Singapore and the region. SPH Buzz is a modern retail convenience chain with a network of stores around the island.


In addition, SPH also provides out-of-home (OOH) advertising through its digital out-of-home platform SPHMBO.

Education
SPH has a 22 per cent stake in preschool and enrichment provider MindChamps.


Properties

SPH REIT is a Singapore-based REIT established to invest in a portfolio of income-producing real estate primarily for retail purposes.  SPH REIT comprises Paragon, a premier upscale retail mall and medical suite/office property in Orchard Road and The Clementi Mall, a mid-market suburban mall in the centre of Clementi town.


The Seletar Mall, located in Sengkang, is SPH's latest retail development. This property is a potential asset to be injected into SPH REIT. SPH’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Times Development Pte Ltd, also developed a 43-storey upmarket residential condominium, Sky@eleven, at Thomson Road.
