Lianhe Wanbao Health & Beauty Fair returns with 111 exhibitors

- The annual health fair offers a section on Korean products and services for the first time 

Singapore, 20 May 2015 – The Lianhe Wanbao Health & Beauty Fair, organised by Chinese evening daily Lianhe Wanbao, returns for its 11th edition this weekend, from23 to 24 May 2015, at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre Hall 401-402.  

One of the leading health fairs in Singapore, the free-admission annual event aims to promote healthy living among Singaporeans of all ages. It encourages Singaporeans to “live healthy, feel fabulous” by adopting healthy lifestyle choices. 

Mr Chan Chun Sing, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office and Secretary-General of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC), will be the Guest of Honour for the opening ceremony on Saturday, 23 May 2015.

With 111 exhibitors and 161 exhibition booths, the fair offers a diverse showcase of healthcare, beauty products and services. It also features informative health talks, fun and educational fitness, cooking and beauty demonstrations, entertaining performances, family oriented competitions, free health screenings and other activities. 

This is the first time the fair has dedicated a section to showcase Korean products and services. The 11 participating booths offer beauty, food and electronics products. The popular Korean TV channel, ONE, will also have a booth at the fair to engage visitors with games and activities.  

This year's highlights include:

· Get advice from doctors and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) physicians with 10 health talks during the two-day event. The speakers include specialists Dr Ng Beng Yeong, Dr Chua Boon Suan, Dr Leo Seo Wei, and Dr Chuang Hsuan-Hung;  TCM physicians who are regarded as “national treasures” in China - Professor Shi Yinyu and Professor Cai Gan; experienced TCM physicians - Zhao Yan, Kwek Mei Lin, and Tan Bee Gawh; nutritionist Fiona Chia.· Stay hale & hearty with free eye examinations, TCM consultations, and spine analyses.· Learn more about herbal medicine and the history of Chung Hwa Medical Institution through a pictorial exhibition at the fair.  · Get hair and beauty tips from renowned hair stylist Dave Teng and leading make-up specialist Benji On. Visitors can also get eyebrow shaping and lash extension treatment.· Whip up tasty, healthful food with TV artiste Cavin Soh and learn to cook with Chef Tony Khoo, Chef Chan Tuck Wai and Chef  Liew Tian Heong.· Indulge in favourite retro foods like "ding ding candy", kachang puteh at the SG50 nostalgic food booth.· Catch demonstrations, performances and competitions such as wushu, creative diabolo, K-Pop X Fitness Korean-style aerobic performances, pole dancing by cancer survivors and friends, K-pop dance competition and others.· Shop and win prizes, as well as redeem goodie bags worth $38 each for visitors who spend $20 in a single receipt (1000 goodie bags to be given out each day and limited to 1 redemption per customer per day on a first-come-first-served basis); 20 prizes worth over $18,000 to be won for visitors who spend above $30; and a sure-win luck dip for a minimum spend of $50 in a single receipt.  Media Invitation

Events and Out-of-Home Advertising

Properties

SPH REIT is a Singapore-based REIT established to invest in a portfolio of income-producing real estate primarily for retail purposes.  SPH REIT comprises Paragon, a premier upscale retail mall and medical suite/office property in Orchard Road and The Clementi Mall, a mid-market suburban mall in the centre of Clementi town.


The Seletar Mall, located in Sengkang, is SPH's latest retail development. This property is a potential asset to be injected into SPH REIT. SPH’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Times Development Pte Ltd, also developed a 43-storey upmarket residential condominium, Sky@eleven, at Thomson Road.
