AsiaOne launches improved version of its free iPhone, Android and iPad apps to offer better interface and user experience

Singapore, 29 April 2015 --- AsiaOne, Asia's leading news and information website has revamped its award-winning iPhone, Android and iPad apps with a new and improved interface that aims to deliver a better user experience to its readers.

The AsiaOne apps are available for free and have been a popular source of daily news for its readers, providing the latest news and lifestyle content curated from Singapore Press Holdings' top newspapers - including The Straits Times, The Business Times and The New Paper - as well as its numerous magazines and top-ranking websites.

A wide range of non-SPH content has been recently added to AsiaOne's selection, from global and regional content partners such as The Wall Street Journal, Nikkei Asian Review, Vulcan Post and more.

The all-new version of the app features an improved menu for fuss-free navigation, sleek and fresh interface, and better content display. Navigating from story to story is now easier and more seamless than before.

Readers can swipe through the various sections for
all the latest stories from a wide range of topics, such as Asia and World news, Technology, Business, Entertainment and more. A new Lifestyle section allows readers to access content from Singapore's No. 1 health site YourHealth, as well as AsiaOne's Women section, which features content relating to fashion, relationship, parenting and shopping.

The newly introduced My Favourites feature allows readers to quickly browse through their preferred list of news stories.

AsiaOne readers can also swipe through galleries and watch videos within articles without having to exit the page to look for a video or photos relevant to the article. For readers who prefer to look at images instead of text, the Photo Galleries section offers a list of photo stories.

Other new services available in the app include stock market updates, zodiac and Chinese horoscope forecasts as well as 4D and Toto gaming results.

Mr Adrian Tay, Editor of AsiaOne, said: "Readers of today are very discerning. When they they are interested in a particular topic, they want multiple viewpoints. The new AsiaOne app will answer readers' need for that. We save our readers
' time by having content from top publishers all within our platforms."

The new apps will be unveiled at the AsiaOne People's Choice Awards on April 30.

AsiaOne mobile editor Karen Lim said: "The re-launch of our mobile products is timely since AsiaOne will be celebrating its 20th birthday this year. As one of Singapore's top news websites, our mobile offerings deliver a holistic experience that is integral to AsiaOne's continued success."

The latest version of AsiaOne's mobile and iPad apps are available for free in Apple AppStore and Google Play.
