herworldPLUS Street Style Awards 2015

SINGAPORE16 April 2015 - herworldPLUS, Singapore’s leading women’s online network for fashion, shopping, beauty and lifestyle, is once again looking to discover the best-dressed on Singapore’s streets. This year, Style Influencers Nicole Wong and Vera Mao will be supporting the herworldPLUS Street Style Awards 2015. 

Street style shapes how people dress today. The Awards aim to highlight and celebrate this by curating photos of as many well-dressed men and women. 10 finalists will be selected to take part in a street style photo shoot. 

The first stage of the Awards will run from now till 10 May 2015. Participants can enter the Awards using their Instagram or Twitter accounts by adding the hashtag #sgstreetstyleawards to their Outfit-of-the-Day photos. Entries can also be made by uploading a photo to herworldPLUS official website at

Style Influencers of SSA2015

Into its second year, herworldPLUS has engaged two of Singapore’s top ‘social media influencers’ and acknowledged style stars  – Nicole Wong and Vera Mao –  to help discover the very best of the island’s street style. The fashionable pair will also be choosing the winner for their own award, the Style Influencers’ Choice award with $500 worth of prizes.

Nicole Wong, who is best known as @ncwong on Instagram (she has 41,000+ followers) and for her fashion and lifestyle blog,, has a distinct sense of modern minimalist style. Nicole began blogging as a young teen and now works as marketing manager for Singapore bespoke tailor Kevin Seah.

She said that when it comes to her criteria for judging the ‘Style Influencer’ Award winner, she will be looking for someone who is “confident with her body and unafraid of being herself through the clothes she wears.” 

Vera Mao is a herworldPLUS Street Style Awards 2014 finalist and has worked with brands like Samsung Singapore, Guess and Zalora. She started her fashion and lifestyle blog in December 2010. Her Instagram account @nakedgloryvera and accompanying blog showcase her more feminine but still fashionable style.  

As for her criteria when it comes to choosing a winner? Vera agrees with Nicole that one needs to be confident in one’s own style: “I've always believed in not letting the clothes wear you, or trying too hard to go after a certain trend – just wear something you're comfortable with!”

The judges include fashion event producer and creative director Daniel Boey, herworldPLUS editor Niki Bruce and Her World magazine fashion editor Ian Lee.
