Use Trezo and stand to win a phone each day

Singapore, 12 April 2015 – From 13 April, users who download and use Trezo - SPH’s latest app for people to buy or sell new or used items - will stand to win a *phone every day.

Created by SPH's Digital Division, Trezo is an offering that provides users with the most revolutionary and straightforward experience of purchasing and selling a secondhand or brand new product. Its name stems from “Treasure” and in the spirit of the proverbial “one man’s junk being another’s treasure” adage, the app aims to help people sell off their pre-loved “treasures” and let others find them to make them their newfound treasures. Boasting simplicity as its unique selling proposition, Trezo aims to provide convenient and seamless usage for those on the go. Available on iOS and Android, users can enjoy features such as customising their profile, engaging in private conversation, managing ad listings and browsing items from as many as 11 categories.

Trezo is free for all to use and charges no commission to buy or sell. Trezo places no restriction in the number of listings sellers have to post. App navigation is never simpler, with items segmented into different categories for easy browsing and selling. Users can either log in through Facebook or sign in using their existing email account.

As a platform for buyers and sellers to get together, Trezo does not interfere with the transaction process and it is left to the buyer and seller’s discretion. However, its makers take into account the authenticity and quality of ads posted seriously. To safeguard the interest of its users, Trezo will impose stringent checks on all ads submitted so as to minimise frauds and spams.

Since its soft launch earlier this year, Trezo has been well received by both buyers and sellers, amassing close to 5,000 listings.

Exciting updates and innovative features are scheduled for release along the way to further enhance user experience. Mr Xiao Xin, Product Manager, Digital Division, SPH, said: "We want to make the app more engaging by adding social, interactive and gaming features to it, so that it integrates with their lifestyles and usage habits.  With these fun tools, users can look forward to a more wholesome experience when using Trezo."

Ms Kylie Ng, a Republic Polytechnic student provided another reason to use the app: “As a full-time poly student, it’s difficult for me to juggle school and work. I had to quit my night job because I kept falling asleep in class. So Trezo turned out to replace my loss in income as I used it - with less time and effort – to earn (additional income) from the sale of my old clothes. Most of my friends share similar lifestyles. We don’t have time to work, so Trezo could be a fitting platform for us to earn some money on the side. With the contest, it now gives me even more reason to use the app!”

Online Classified and New Media
SPH's online classified and new media initiatives include ST701, the leading online marketplace for jobs (STJobs), property (STProperty), cars (STCars) and general classifieds (STClassifieds), sgCarmart and Streetsine; Asiaone, Stomp, omy.com and SPH Razor. 

SPH's regional joint venture online classified business, 701Search, has a number of leading online classified sites in the region.

Events and Out-of-Home Advertising
Sphere Exhibits, Sphere Conferences, Exhibits Inc and Bizlink Exhibition Services organise innovative consumer and trade events and exhibitions as well as large scale conferences in Singapore and the region. SPH Buzz is a modern retail convenience chain with a network of stores around the island.

In addition, SPH also provides out-of-home (OOH) advertising through its digital out-of-home platform SPHMBO.

Education
SPH has a 22 per cent stake in preschool and enrichment provider MindChamps.

Properties
SPH REIT is a Singapore-based REIT established to invest in a portfolio of income-producing real estate primarily for retail purposes.  SPH REIT comprises Paragon, a premier upscale retail mall and medical suite/office property in Orchard Road and The Clementi Mall, a mid-market suburban mall in the centre of Clementi town.

The Seletar Mall, located in Sengkang, is SPH's latest retail development. This property is a potential asset to be injected into SPH REIT. SPH’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Times Development Pte Ltd, also developed a 43-storey upmarket residential condominium, Sky@eleven, at Thomson Road.
