Singapore, 12 March 2015 - Singapore Press Holdings Limited (SPH), together with Singapore Athletics Association (SAA), will host the SPH Schools Relay Championships 2015 from 14-15 March 2015 at Toa Payoh stadium. Admission is free.
Singapore Sports school will be looking to defend its Overall Champion Title. Led by Kugapriya Chandran, Ismi Zakiah, Joel Ho and Edwin Tan, all of them have recorded fast timings this year in their respective events and categories. Raffles Institution is also expected to be among the title contenders this year.
It has been two years since the last Tay Cheng Khoon Memorial Trophy has been won. This year, teams from Singapore Sports school’s B division girls and Anglo-Chinese School (Independent)’s B division boys are expected to challenge for this award.
Singapore Sports school will send a total of 16 teams to defeat their Overall Champion Title, which they have won since 2011. Raffles Institution and Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) will send 14 teams each. Other potential candidates are Chung Cheng High School (Main) with 14 teams and Ahmad Ibrahim Secondary School with 16 teams.
In attendance for the event is Mr Marc Lim, The Straits Times Sports Editor.
