Singapore's stars shine at Sing50

Singapore, 8 March, 2015 - For a pure music spectacle with a Singaporean flavour, look no further than the Sing50 concert. Said Sing50 creative director Jeremiah Choy: “Singapore has a very interesting music history. Within a span of 50 years, we have amassed a treasure trove of songs composed, arranged or performed by people in Singapore. We want everyone to be proud of the Singapore music scene, and are conscious to bring artistes from a broad spectrum of genres. From internationally acclaimed artistes such as Dick Lee, to those like Mohamad Raffee and Ramli Sarip, who have been in the music scene for decades, to the younger generation of rising and emerging talents. Through this concert, we hope to share the old with the new, and introduce the new to the old. It is a time of discovery and re-discovery.”

Sing50 is co-organised by The Straits Times and The Business Times in celebration of Singapore’s golden jubilee. Mapletree Investments Pte Ltd is the presenting sponsor for this concert, with Resorts World at Sentosa as the supporting presenter.
