Men’s Health Urbanathlon, Singapore’s toughest urban obstacle race, gets bigger and better in its 6th edition.

Singapore, 25 February 2015 — On 1 March 2015 (Sunday), more than 3,700 runners will take on Singapore’s most grueling urban obstacle race. The Men’s Health Urbanathlon 2015 will be bigger, better and tougher than its previous iterations, and features nine obstacles along a 14km course that runs through the heart of the nation’s Central Business District.

With brand new obstacles like Bottom LineTipping Point and Wheel & Deal, and upgrades on old favourites such as Balance SheetLeap of FaithNetwork and Workload, all Urbanathletes will need to dig deep into their physical and mental reserves to conquer this race. Runners will also enjoy one of the most scenic Urbanathlons ever – with the race route taking them around Marina Bay and past the Gardens By The Bay.

In addition, as part of the nation’s 50th birthday festivities, this year’s event will be graced by a contingent of runners who have contributed to building Singapore these past five decades, including Mr Teo Ser Luck (Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry). 

Another highlight of this year’s race will be this edition’s Mystery Obstacle, which will require participants to overcome their fears and reach for the sky. Back by popular demand, this year marks the second time the mystery challenge has been introduced. Participants will have to wait until the very day of the run to find out what awaits them.

On top of that, after their exertions, runners will also get to proudly show off their achievements on social media at Singapore’s first-ever post-race aerial photo booth! With the use of a high-tech drone, those at the Race Village will get memorable snaps that will showcase their achievement of surviving Singapore’s toughest urban race. 

This year’s competition will also see participants receiving a race pack worth over $400, including an Adidas race T-shirt and a complimentary six-month digital subscription to Men’s Health.
