UFM100.3’s U1000 Music Countdown Chart is back!

Singapore, 24 February 2015 -  UFM100.3’s annual campaign, U1000 (U1000) is back for the third year. Giving listeners a chance to nominate and vote for their favourite mandarin songs, U1000 is a campaign which gives listeners the power to determine the songs to be played on UFM100.3.

Carine Ang, Program Director of UFM100.3, SPH Radio, said: “I look forward to the list of top 1000 songs nominated and voted by our listeners, and also to find out if our listeners’ taste and preferences have changed since the last U1000 campaign. “

Last year, the 3-month campaign garnered more than 5,000 unique listeners who contributed by nominating and voting for their favourite mandarin songs. Taiwanese singer, Tiger Huang’s “Not that Simple” (没那么简单)  topped the U1000’s chart, while Jacky Cheung’s “Farewell Kiss”  (吻别) ranked 2nd and Jeff Chang’s “Love Tidal Wave”  (爱如潮水) ranked 3rd place.

For those who have missed last year’s U1000, here is your chance to nominate, vote and get your favourite mandarin songs on the U1000 music chart!

Campaign Schedule:

Nomination Phase : 23rd Feb – 1st Mar
Listeners to nominate their favourite mandarin songs via SMS.

Voting Phase: 9th Mar – 27th Mar
Nominated songs will be consolidated and listed on an online poll for listeners to vote.

Countdown Phase: 30th Mar to 13th Apr
The final top 1,000 most voted songs will then be played on-air according to their ranks.

Live Gigs: Between Mid March – End May
A series of live gigs will be held outdoors during the campaign period for fans and DJs to come together and enjoy songs featured in the U1000 music chart.
