Her World kick-starts its 55th birthday celebrations with charity and beauty events

Singapore, 24 February 2015 – Her World, Singapore’s No. 1 women’s magazine, published by SPH Magazines Pte Ltd (SPH Magazines), is 55 years old and it has never looked younger or more glamorous.

In celebration of its 55th anniversary, Her World has lined up a series of exciting events which revolve around the themes of empowering and inspiring women, celebrating women, being the first to discover trends and people, and knowing beauty and fashion 100% well.   

Her World will kick-start its 55th birthday celebrations with events for charity causes and empowering women with beauty trends and lifestyles on February 26Thursday, at ION Orchard.  

Her World Gives Back 2015 

“Her World Gives Back” is a charity initiative where funds raised from the sale of its March issue on that day will be donated to the Singapore Council of Women Organisations (SCWO).  TheHer World editorial team will be on duty and selling the magazine at $6 at B4 Ion Station, ION Orchard on Feb 26 at 12-2pm and at 6.30-8.30pm. Readers can also enjoy a scoop of Haagen Dazs ice cream (while stocks last).

Pearlyn Tham, editor of Her World, said: “Our Gives Back event is one of many exciting birthday celebrations for us in 2015. Where else can you buy your favourite magazine, enjoy a scoop of premium ice cream and help other women – all at once? Her World Pop-up bar 

Her World Pop-up Bar will be making its first appearance at L1 Atrium, ION Orchard. Media is invited to the trade-only launch on Feb 26

Four mocktails are specially concocted for Her World - Strawberry Blush, Mango Crush, Citrine Whisper and Power Punch, each relating to a personality and style. Take a short personality quiz to find out which mocktail suits you best. The customised mocktail drinks are created by mixologists from the famed Bar Stories. 

Her World Pop-up Bar is open to the public from Feb 27 to March 1. For only $5, readers will get a glass of mocktail, a free copy of Her World, free three-month digital subscription to Her World and a chic designer pouch – worth more than $50. Readers can also purchase a Moschino Toy perfume at a special 15 per cent discount at the bar.

Her World Beauty Awards 2015

Every year, the Her World beauty team, along with a panel of industry experts such as dermatologists, hairstylists, makeup artists and beauty bloggers, put to the test a slew of new products that span skincare, makeup, haircare, body care, perfume and gadgets. Created in 2001, the annual Her World Beauty Awards is the most important beauty event in Singapore.

The awards ceremony will be held on Feb 26 at 4.30pm.

Her World Beauty Club

Her World Beauty Club will be launched officially on Feb 26 as well. Club members get to enjoy special discounts, review products and attend exclusive events.  Members who sign up onFeb 26 at L1 Atrium of ION Orchard will stand a chance to win a specially curated beauty bag put together by the Her World beauty team.
