"See The Big Picture" wins three gold awards and one silver award at the Mob-Ex Awards 2015

  • The Business Times wins one silver award for Most Improved Mobile Activation/App
  • With five awards, SPH is one of the biggest winners at Mob-Ex Awards 2015

Singapore, 6 February 2015  "See The Big Picture", a campaign organised by Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) in celebration of its 30th anniversary in 2014, has won three gold awards and one silver award at the Mob-Ex Awards 2015. The brand campaign featuring autistic savant Stephen Wiltshire, who drew Singapore's skyline from memory, clinched gold awards for Best Brand Awareness CampaignBest Original Content and Best Use Of Mobile For An Event, and a silver award for Best Integration of Mobile

In addition, SPH's financial daily The Business Times also won a silver award in the Most Improved Mobile Activation/App category at the Mob-Ex Awards for its relaunch campaign in 2014.

SPH was the biggest winner for a single campaign with three golds and one silver; and, including the award by The Business Times, was one of the biggest overall winners of the evening.

The Mob-Ex Awards, which recognises companies and brands for excellence in mobile marketing, were given out on 5 February at a dinner ceremony held at the Mandarin Orchard Hotel. The third edition of the awards saw more than 340 entries received from around Southeast Asia, with 145 finalists short-listed in the 29 contested categories.

Mr Alan Chan, Chief Executive Officer of SPH, said: "As Singapore's leading media company, SPH always strives to be at the forefront of the latest media trends and offers the best advertising solutions. The three gold awards and one silver award for our See the Big Picture campaign is a testimony of the wide marketing reach of all our media platforms. The silver award won by The Business Times is a demonstration of our commitment to continually enhance our media products to serve everyone better."

The “See the Big Picture” campaign was one of the key events organised by SPH and Germs Digital to celebrate SPH's 30th anniversary. The live drawing by Stephen Wiltshire at Paragon attracted over 150,000 visitors in five days in July last year. SPH also invited special needs and underprivileged children to meet and interact with Mr Wiltshire. The 4m X 1m Singapore panorama was presented to President Tony Tan Keng Yam last September, as SPH's gift to the nation for Singapore's 50th birthday. It is now on display at URA’s Singapore City Gallery.

As part of its active corporate citizenry, SPH has given merchandising rights of the artwork to Pathlight School. Pathlight, the first autism-focused school in Singapore that offers a unique blend of mainstream academic curriculum and life readiness skills, has produced exclusive prints and unique merchandise adapted from the artwork. All net proceeds of the sales will go to Autism Resource Centre, in aid of people with autism. For enquiries, please email: .

Prior to the Mob-Ex Awards, "See The Big Picture" also won three silver awards at the Marketing Excellence Awards 2014 for Best Consumer Event, Best Exhibition Event and Best Multi-Channel Campaign, and picked up a bronze award at the Creative Circle Awards (Entertainment & Branded Content – Live Experience). It also garnered a gold award at the W³ Awards 2014 for Best Web Video - Documentary by SPH Razor.
