My Paper Executive 2014 Grand Finals

Singapore, 22 May 2014 – On Saturday, 24 May, the My Paper Executive grand finals will be held at the Mövenpick Heritage Hotel Sentosa. The finals is a closed-door event.

My Paper Executive, the signature event of My Paper published by Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), is Singapore’s first executive-oriented competition in search of a male or female who best epitomises the ideal Singapore urban executive.

Into its seventh year, the contest is open to all executives aged between 24 and 39 who are currently employed and who have at least two years of working experience. Candidates should embody the perfect blend of charisma, style, self-confidence, eloquence and corporate-savviness.

Only 100 were shortlisted from close to 500 entries for the auditions and 20 were selected to be this year’s finalists.

Mr Rahul Pathak, Editor of My Paper, said: "Modern-day executives need style as well as substance to get ahead. They need not only have good ideas, but also the ability to present them persuasively. I believe that the 20 finalists of this year's My Paper executive share these qualities, even though they come from backgrounds as varied as banking, the civil service and sales."

This year's My Paper Executive was launched on 13 March, with a talent hunt for suitable candidates conducted on 27 March at Raffles Green and Capital Square. Subsequently, a Finalists Showcase was held on 12 May at The Outpost Bar & Bistro at St James Power Station, where the 20 finalists had to go
through a series of challenges (i.e. pop quizzes, networking) during the showcase which will contribute to their scores for the Finals.

The judges for this Saturday's finals are:

  • Mr Rahul Pathak, Editor, My Paper, SPH
  • Ms Elsie Chua, Head, Integrated Sales, Marketing, SPH
  • Mr Geoff Tan, Head, Strategic Marketing, SPH
