Female and Nuyou Catwalk presents Italian label Max Mara’s Spring/Summer runway show

Singapore, 7 April 2014 – Femaleand Nuyou, leading women's fashion publications of SPH Magazines Pte Ltd, once again present their signature event: the Female and Nuyou Catwalk.

The annual runway show is known for being unique, and has always been one of the highlights of the local fashion scene. From having the longest-ever catwalk in Singapore (a 163m-long one in Orchard Road) to unconventional venues (such as the Formula One Pit Building, Changi Airport’s T3 when it first opened, and Tanjong Pagar Railway Station), Female and Nuyou Catwalk events have always pushed creative boundaries.

This year, the much-anticipated event will be held at Museum of Contemporary Art to showcase 32 looks from Max Mara’s Spring/Summer show. The monochromatic theme of the party will highlight the singular style of this collection.

Nuyou’s editor Terence Lee says: “This collection is one of Max Mara’s best in recent history: luxuriously sexy and elegantly provocative. The bright monochromatic looks are visually striking – definitely some of the most memorable at Milan Fashion Week. I am very excited to present this collection here in Singapore – it’s about time that local women started looking at this Italian label as being more than just a camel coat specialist.”

Jeanette Ejlersen, Female’s creative editor, says: “Female and Nuyou Catwalk is proud to work with Max Mara. It has always been a brand that appeals to all women, and its latest collection is a fine example. It's sexy yet friendly, modern and timeless. In short, it's the perfect label for our annual tie-up with our sister publication Nuyou.”

SPH Magazines general manager, Diana Lee, says: “Our annual catwalk show is a signature fashion event that reinforces Female and Nuyou’s positions as the leading, fashion-forward magazines in Singapore. The partnership with leading brands offers advertisers an effective and exclusive way to showcase their products and services, while enabling them to reach out to influential personalities in the fashion and beauty industry.”

More than 300 invited VIP guests, celebrities, fashion insiders and style mavens are expected at the fashion party of the season, held on April 16, 2014 (Wednesday) at 7.30pm

The event is sponsored by Max Mara, Kenaris, Redken, Shiseido, Sony Xperia and Volvo.
