Talent scouts to recruit suitable candidates at Raffles Green on 27 March
Singapore, 25 March 2014 – My Paper Executive, the signature event of My Paper published by Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), is Singapore’s first executive-oriented competition in search of a male or female who best epitomises the ideal Singapore urban executive.
On Thursday, 27 March, My Paper Executive talent scouts will be on the look out for suitable candidates at Raffles Green and Capital Square from 12pm to 2pm. Raffles Green is an area which encompasses Chevron House and One Raffles Place.
My Paper Executive 2014 is open to all executives aged between 24 and 39 who are currently employed and who have at least two years of working experience. Candidates should embody the perfect blend of charisma, style, self-confidence, eloquence and corporate-savviness. Interested parties can register at executive.mypaper.sg before 2 April.
Shortlisted candidates will have to attend a closed-door audition on Saturday, 5 April. Twenty finalists (10 male and 10 female) will be selected and sent for workshops on business etiquette & efficiency to better prepare them for the competition.
Candidates will be judged not only on their looks but on their confidence, poise, personality, wit, eloquence, “EQ” (Emotional Quotient) and “OQ” (“Office Intelligence Quotient”). Into its seventh year, the My Paper Executive competition has also introduced new judging criteria and show format to focus more on the candidates' networking skills and people skills, rather than stage presence and showmanship in previous years.
The competition has introduced a new pre-finals showcase on Monday, 12 May. The final judging will now be a closed-door session to be held on Friday, 23 May.
Profiles of the finalists will be featured in My Paper as well as online at executive.mypaper.sg from 28 April onwards. Readers are also invited to to vote for their favourite finalist from 25 Apriland stand to win attractive prizes.
Winner of the My Paper Executive 2014 will get $10,000 cash whereas the 2nd and 3rd prize winner will walk away with $5,000 and $3,000 cash respectively.
