The push notification function within the app keeps readers informed on breaking news updates from the region and beyond. Social media tools are also in place to allow the sharing of stories easily.

AsiaOne editor Adrian Tay said: “Our readers and advertisers have been asking about our iPad version since the launch of our smartphone app. The iPad app is vastly different from our smartphone app in terms of user experience and was designed to take into account readers' behaviours and their needs in wanting to have an app that is customisable.”

The AsiaOne iPad app is the latest addition to the portal's suite of mobile apps, which includes smartphone apps for both Apple and Android users, as well as The Straits Times SoShiok food guide mobile app.

More content will be included in upcoming updates of the app. The AsiaOne iPad app is compatible with iOS version 6 and above.
