SmartKids Asia returns for third consecutive year with more fun and entertainment

Singapore, 14 March 2014 - SmartKids Asia is back with more than 150 esteemed exhibitors, three days of engaging activities, fun and games, as well as established services and products. Organised by Sphere Exhibits, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) and presented by S-26, SmartKids Asia 2014 will be held at Singapore Expo Hall 5 from 21 – 23 March, from 11am – 9pm daily. Admission is free.


Combining Education, Health and Family bonding activities, SmartKids Asia will offer unparalleled opportunities to explore the potential of children through must-see demonstrations, family centric exhibits and product booths. The 3 spokes of SmartKids Asia include:

- SmartFamily
Gathering the best in family products, services, venues & clubs, the SmartFamily sector will see family brands like Swensen’s, Port of Lost Wonder, Yummi House, Delphin, Pharmaton, Kids Haven and more offering their best to foster family ties and engage families in wholesome activities. Swensen’s (Booth K16) will provide up to 1,000 FREE mini cup ice-cream daily for the young to enjoy. Special packages for birthday celebrations will also be available. LifeBuoy (Booth H02) will also be there to engage parents in caring from their child’s daily cleanliness and health. Presenting a whole range of educational channels like Discovery Kids and Animal Planet, children will get to discover fun facts, interesting information at the Discovery Kids (A06) booth.
- SmartEdu
Children’s growth & education is a key issue on many parents’ minds. The SmartEdu sector will boast of various education and enrichment service providers, including renowned names like Julia Gabriel (Booth C22),September 21 (Booth G22), Modern Montessori International (Booth C02), MindChamps (Booth F05) and upcoming schools like Speech Academy Asia (Booth D10). From informative courses to interesting programmes from schools like Fandi Ahmad Academy (Booth E30) to new, alternative learning from educational toys and programmes offered by the likes of Bricks 4 Kidz (Booth C30), Inventive Kids (Booth D30) and more, the SmartEdu sector in SmartKids Asia is definitely worth a visit.
- SmartHealth
A healthy, happy child is every parents’ desire. At SmartKids Asia, an array of health providers provide a wide range of choices to protect and enrich a child’s well-being. From the ever popular Nestle (Booth A02) to ergonomic options from Ergokid (Booth A08), the SmartHealth sector in SmartKids Asia help build health awareness in families and assist children in building a healthy foundation for a long term impact on adult health and well-being.


INFORMATIVE SEMINARS, WORKSHOPS & FREE TRIAL CLASSES FOR THE FAMILY

A series of free trial classes will be conducted on-site for parents to get a feel of how various education and enrichment centres can help in their child’s development. Exhibitors involved in this programme include My English Pte Ltd, Academy of Rock, Kentridge Education and more.

Renowned educator Dr Thomas Armstrong, together with S-26, and Miss Victoria Carlton, together with September 21 Pte Ltd, and others will also be conducting seminar talks and workshops at SmartKids Asia 2014. A wide range of parenting topics will be covered through these sessions.

Dr Thomas Armstrong, Ph.D is the Executive Director of the American Institute for Learning and Human Development, and an award-winning author and speaker who has been an educator for the past 40 years. Through slides, lecture and experiences, Dr Armstrong will be presenting a session on “Awakening the Genius in Every Child: discovering and reviving the natural motivation that exists in all children at birth” on 22 March as well as a workshop on 23 March at SmartKids Asia 2014. This seminar is expected to draw crowds and registration is on a first-come-first-served basis at SmartKids Asia’s website.

 

GREAT FUN & ENTERTAINMENT FOR THE FAMILY

More than 1/3 of the 9,000 square feet hall will be dedicated to fun and play for children aged 3 – 12 years old. Visitors can expect giant bouncy castles, carnival rides, stall games and more for a nominal fee. In addition, numerous meet & greet sessions will be held throughout the 3 day event; children will get to be up close and personal with their favourite Garfield & Odie and also the current favourite – Emmet from The Lego Movie. The SmartKids Asia mascot will also be roaming the event daily and visitors will be able to grab a quick photograph with him throughout the day.

An irresistible line-up of stage activities will also keep families well-entertained for all 3 days. From Academy of Rock’s high energy performance to Le Grand School of Dance’s meticulous choreography, it will be an eye-opener for parents and children alike.

 

FANTASTIC FREEBIES AND MORE

A total of 1,500 goodie bags filled with premiums will be given out at the 3 day event. These bags will contain exclusive items like a D.I.Y Bunting Kit from {FlippingNotes}, an exclusive SmartKids Asia cutlery set by L’earth, Swensen’s 20% off Space Adventure Kids’ Meal discount voucher, wet wipes, hand balms and more. Goodie bags will be given out to the first 500 visitors daily.

Besides goodie bags, visitors can expect treats like free Swensen’s ice-cream, free windmills and more in the event hall. Visitors in the afternoon can look forward to the bi-hourly lucky draw to be held at 3pm5pm and 7pm daily. By filling a lucky draw form on the SmartKids Asia programme guide that can be downloaded from the SmartKids Asia website, participants stand a chance to win big prizes like an SAF Yacht Club membership worth $321, dental hamper worth more than $200, FirstBIKE’s bikes worth more than $200, Kids Haven Furniture Set and more. All winners will also receive a CardTec phone sponsored by APlusTec worth $99 and a Rainbow Bear Dinosaur Discovery Set from Julia Gabriel Centre.

 

ENGAGING EXHIBITORS AND REPEATED SUCCESSES

Established book publisher September 21 Pte Ltd will make its first appearance at SmartKids Asia. Together with educator Ms Victoria Carlton, September 21 Pte Ltd will present a series of stage talks and seminar talks to enrich and educate parents of young children.

Other new exhibitors coming on board include The Learning Store (Booth H22), Jarrons & Co (Booth C18), LogicMills (Booth C31), Gymboree (Booth B32) and many more. Logic Mills focuses on improving children’s analytical thinking and is keen to reach out to SmartKids Asia’s base of targeted crowd.

Visitors will also be pleased to find familiar successful brands like Julia Gabriel Centre (Booth C22), Adam Khoo Learning Centre (Booth F15) and Modern Montessori International (Booth C02) returning to present trial classes, stage contests and reach out to SmartKids Asia’s crowd.

 

A NEW BEGINNING AND A STRONG PARTNERSHIP

SmartKids Asia 2014 will mark a new achievement for Sphere Exhibits Pte Ltd.

Properties

SPH REIT is a Singapore-based REIT established principally to invest, directly or indirectly, in a portfolio of income-producing real estate which is used primarily for retail purposes in Asia-Pacific, as well as real estate-related assets.
