One-stop venue for wedding needs
The New Paper Wedding Planner, which is supported by Marriage Central, is the perfect place for couples to make plans for the perfect wedding. Now into its 11th year, this exhibition is a comprehensive one-stop venue for couples sourcing for wedding related products and services. There are more than 20 exhibitors from bridal houses, hotels/venue providers, restaurants, a jewellery shop and a wine retailer.
Mr Effandy Kumess, Director of Sales of Royal Plaza on Scotts, is a keen supporter of the event as it gives him the opportunity to reach out to potential couples on his hotel’s unique selling point, which is its experience and expertise in hosting smaller-scale weddings of up to 11 tables.
Mr Kumess said: “We even cater to wedding parties of up to 40 people. For example, some couples hold a series of smaller, separate events to host different groups of friends and relatives. The food is also served buffet-style for a more casual and relaxed atmosphere.”
Mr Nigel Lee, the boss of Beautiful Love Wedding, is also pleased with the turnout and response. His bridal house doesn’t offer off-the-rack gown, only custom-made ones, which he feels is one of his selling points. The other is the very affordable all-inclusive package which includes an overseas photo shoot. The couple need only pay for their own air tickets, and everything else is taken care off.
Miss Ho Siew Mei, 30 and Mr Clarence Lee, 33, are one of the many happy couples who purchased something for their wedding at the event. They zoomed in immediately on White Link and signed a package for their wedding that will take place in 2014.
Gifts and prizes
Visitors who make a purchase at the event will receive an exquisite ring pillow worth $20. They also stand to win attractive prizes worth more than $10,000 in a Buyers' Lucky Draw. These are sponsored by Love & Co. and Royal Plaza on Scotts.
Ten couples will also get to attend the Love Notes course developed by Marriage Central. Couples who join Marriage Central’s mailing list will receive an exclusive goodie bag from them.
