Singapore, 10 December 2012 – Pet owners whose hearts are aching over the demise of their beloved pets no longer have to grief alone. They now have a new avenue to express their thoughts, share their sentiments and recapture memories of the life they had once shared with their pets via Pets Corner, a special feature published every week in The Sunday Times CATS Classified section.
The inaugural issue carrying tribute messages from pet owners whose beloved companions have passed away will be published this Sunday, 16 Dec 2012.
Pet owners who wish to send a tribute to their dearly missed and fondly remembered pet can submit a message of not more than 30 words to cats.com.sg/petstribute and have it published free of charge. However, publication of free tributes will be subject to space availability.
A tribute sender may choose to enhance his or her message by having it published with a photograph of his or her pet at a special discounted price of $50, excluding GST. (subject to prevailing terms and conditions of the SPH rate book)
Besides the new tribute section, the weekly Pets Corner feature has a pet adoption column used by the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), House Rabbit Society of Singapore, Action for Singapore Dogs, and Animal Lovers League. CATS Classified also has a lost and found section that offers animal groups free space to post information about animals that have been handed over to them.
