Thrills, spills and loads of fun at The Amazing Waiter Race 2012!

Singapore, 12 November 2012 – On 17 November, get ready for some truly amazing action at The Amazing Waiter Race 2012!

Organised by Singapore Press Holdings' CATS Classified in partnership with the Food & Beverages Managers’ Association of Singapore and Institute of Technical Education (ITE), The Amazing Waiter Race will provide a rousing finale to CATS Classified’s three-month long Food Fest 2012, which ran from 24 August to 10 November.

The race will start with a contest that will surely boost the adrenaline levels of all contestants – the Synchronised Mocktail Rush at 11am. Contestants have to pair up and put their speed, synchronisation skills and creativity to work – by whipping up two tasty, inventive mocktails at lightning speed!

From there, eight teams will then proceed to the Wet ‘n’ Wild challenge at 2.15pm. The finalists will partake in a gruelling beer-serving contest, which will take them through various obstacles that might prove tricky even to those with steady hands and quick feet. Only the fastest and most dexterous team can emerge victorious! Find out if last year's winner of the Amazing Waiter Cup - Furama Riverfront - will win for the third consecutive year.

During the Food Fest, readers were encouraged to vote for their favourite restaurant. The collated votes determined the Top 10 Readers' Choice Restaurants for 2012, which will be revealed at 2pm in a prize presentation ceremony

In addition, there will be a lucky grand draw at 3pm – where a very lucky winner who dined at a participating outlet of the CATS Classified Food Fest 2012 will walk away with a hefty $10,000 cash prize!
