Singapore, 3 October 2012 – Franchising & Licensing Asia (FLAsia) 2012, the leading international event on Entrepreneurship, Business Opportunities & Intellectual Property Rights in Asia, returns for its seventh edition. Jointly hosted by Franchising and Licensing Association (Singapore) and Singapore Press Holdings' BizLink Exhibition Services Pte Ltd, this year’s FLAsia 2012 will take place from 1 to 3 November at Hall B, Sands Expo and Convention Center, Marina Bay Sands.
Mr Lee Yi Shyan, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry & Ministry of National Development, will be the Guest-of-Honour for the event’s opening ceremony on 1 November.
With a month to go before its opening, the exhibition space for FLAsia 2012 has almost sold out. This strong endorsement of FLAsia 2012 is testament to its position as the major franchise and licensing show in the region, which has successfully reached out to business owners, entrepreneurs and investors in the past.
More than 195 international franchises and brands from Australia, Canada, China, France and UAE, among others, will be on show, representing industries such as food & beverage, health & wellness and education. There are also 87 brands from Singapore taking part, including Ramen Ten - Singapore’s first Halal Certified Japanese restaurant chain, which is slated to open 15 outlets in the Middle East this year; and Jumping Clay, a Jasmine-scented polymer clay which is composed of non-toxic, harmless water-soluble filler, and is used as a learning tool for creative fun and play (See attached file: Annex A – Exhibitor Highlights).
There will also be country pavilions which will house both world-renowned and promising brands and businesses from South Korea and USA at FLAsia 2012.

There is also a one-and-a-half-day session on the theme “Spotting Gold in the Asian Franchise Market”. Industry experts from France, New Zealand, USA and Singapore will give an overview on today's franchise market and opportunities in the region.
