Singapore, 24 September 2012 – The Singapore Flyer, an iconic Singapore attraction boasting a Facebook fan base of some 260,000 fans, has extended its relationship with digital creative agency noisycrayons to develop new digital engagement activities that will reach out to today’s socially integrated and tech savvy urbanites in Singapore and the region.
Beyond an ongoing programme titled The Flyer Entourage that regularly creates exclusive opportunities for passionate fans to experience new offerings and other strategic digital-only marketing campaigns, The Singapore Flyer will look to further integrate offline and online marketing activities to extract better synergies between marketing mediums.
Fright Fest 2012, a Halloween extravaganza held at Singapore Flyer every October, is one such example of integrated marketing.
17 second-year students from Singapore Polytechnic's Events & Project Management faculty have been roped in to organise the event, creating an adventure in an 'Undead Forest' with a passageway filled with characters inspired by classic horror movie characters like the Maid and Stephen King’s IT.
Pick A Victim, a corresponding social media campaign that activates young thrill-seeking individuals and cliques who have a tongue-in-cheek sense of humour and enjoy a little harmless mischief at their friends’ expense, is implemented concurrently.
The campaign invites fans to 'prey on' friends by turning their portraits into a series of horror-themed stickers and then sending them to their 'victims’ on social media. The campaign is expected to reach over more than 20m Facebook users with a taste for good scares in Singapore and across the region.
