Enjoy a Girls' Night out with Kiss92

Singapore, 14 September 2012 – Kiss92, Singapore's first radio station targeting women, has launched its signature station event, Girls’ Night Out at two of Singapore’s F&B hotspots - Catalunya and KuDeTa. 

With all the great songs in one place, Kiss92’s content is skewed to provide what women aged between 30 and 50 years old love. Girls’ Night Out is part of the station’s listener engagement efforts, allowing modern women today to re-energise and catch up with their girlfriends in an intimate setting, while checking out the latest F&B joints and lifestyle destinations. 

Listeners were required to SMS their details to Kiss92 to win a spot for the exclusive Girls’ Night Out event, with Miss Kong Poh Ling, 37, winning the exclusive invite to a night of pampering with Kiss92. Joining her were three of her girlfriendsas well as Kiss92 DJs Maddy Barber, Jason Johnson and Arnold Gay from the morning show. 

Miss Kong said: “Kiss92 has all the great songs that I can sing along to. Thank you Kiss92 for giving us the opportunity to enjoy a fun girls’ night out while being able to experience the food and atmosphere at Singapore’s hotspots!” 

The girls were treated to a specially prepared Kiss92 Girls’ Night Out Spanish tapas menu filled with contemporary and traditional Spanish delights. A ‘First Kiss’ cocktail was also concocted by Catalunya’s experienced mixologists, a timely addition following the successful on air launch of Kiss92 last week. The night of fun continued as the girls were chauffeured to popular nightspot KuDeTa, with a private table, scenic views and champagne - a sweet welcome to the weekend. 

Other than exquisite dining experiences, subsequent editions of Kiss92 Girls’ Night Out will include indulgent spa experiences and luxurious hotel stays. Listeners can continue to tune in to Kiss92 to find out more about the next edition of Girls’ Night Out.

Its growth momentum has been going from strength to strength. Against other local mainstream English music stations*, HOT FM91.3 saw its share doubled from 8% in 2009 to 16% in 2011 with listeners 15-39 years old, making it the third most popular music station for under 40s, and in the first half of 2012 further increased its weekly listenership to 308,000**, with its popular Breakfast Show "Rod Monteiro and The Married Men" grabbing the #2 share* of the Under 40 audience weekday mornings. 

The newest radio station to hit the local FM market, Kiss92, is slated for launch in late 2012 with a targeted focus on women and families. It will provide in-depth women and family content, coupled with adult contemporary music. Women aged 25 and above, and families will find the channel informative and entertaining. 

Kiss92 will see experts share their knowledge on topics such as Relationships and Family Matters, Health and Wellness issues, Financial Planning and Career Advancements. It will also cover Fashion and Beauty, Shopping, Entertainment, as well as offer listings of family friendly and community events. Tapping on its collaboration with SPH Magazines, Kiss92 will offer listeners the latest information, the best fashion and beauty bargains in town, and more. 

UFM 100.3 is a highly-charged Mandarin infotainment station targeting at working professionals aged between 35 – 49 years that is specially catered to their lifestyle. Its creative, lively and engaging delivery style is able to consistently hook listeners on for a far longer period of listening. Program content is designed to cater specifically for the busy individuals with timely updates and discussion on current affairs, health and wellness, financial planning, property investment, communication, lifestyle, music and entertainment. 

The station’s drive-time programs are anchored by veteran DJs Wenhong, Limei and Xiaozhu in the morning, and DJs Anna and Lingzhi in the evening. UFM 100.3 also introduces a new daytime at-work listening programme from 10am till 5pm, playing your favourite music, complementing with bite size info-capsules, sharing with listeners health tips, office survival skills and other useful lifestyle information. 

The station actively engages its listeners through various interactive events such as dinner gatherings and its annual family day to build rapport and bonding. To further strengthen loyalty, DJs also reaches out to the public through its outdoor activations, conducting games and giveaway prizes while introducing the station to new potential listeners. UFM 100.3 also supports various community, non-profit and charity organizations and successfully initiated a CSR program, “Star of the Month”, to raise public awareness for the underprivileged.
