Singapore, 14 August 2012 – Lianhe Zaobao, the Chinese flagship newspaper of Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), is organising its inaugural CEO Forum on 16 August (Thursday) at the Raffles City Convention Centre's Stamford Ballroom.
The keynote speaker of this closed-door luncheon is Mr Kent Wong Siu Kee, Managing Director of Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Limited. This is the first visit to Singapore by Mr Wong, who is recognised as one of Hong Kong's most eminent entrepreneurs.
Under the visionary leadership of Mr Wong, Chow Tai Fook blazed trails in China with 500 franchised outlets in just a few years. Today, it has become one of the biggest and most well-known jewellery brands in China and Hong Kong. Currently, it has a total of 1,000 points-of-sale in China, Hong Kong, Macau and other Asian countries; and aims to increase the number to 2,000 by 2016. The company is a substantial private enterprise with total market capitalisation of approximately S$16 billion.
At the CEO Forum, Mr Wong will be sharing the strategies behind the success of Chow Tai Fook Jewellery and the secrets of success in conducting business in China.
There will also be a panel discussion with Mr Wong and two local entrepreneurs. They are Mr Fong Kah Kuen, Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer of Xpress Holdings and Mr Koh Tiak Chye, Managing Director of Brothers Holdings. The panel discussion will be chaired by Dr Tan Khee Giap, Co-Director of Asian Competitiveness Institute (ACI), Lee Kwan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore.
In addition, guests will get to enjoy a special show featuring 15 models wearing the latest jewellery pieces by Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Limited.

Events and Out-of-Home Advertising
SPH’s events subsidiary Sphere Exhibits organises innovative consumer and trade events and exhibitions. In addition, SPH has ventured into out-of-home (OOH) advertising through its wholly-owned subsidiary, SPH MediaBoxOffice Pte Ltd, Singapore’s leading Digital Out-of-Home advertising company.
SPH owns and manages Paragon, the prime retail and office complex in the heart of Orchard Road, Singapore's main shopping belt.
