Singapore, 13 August 2012 – Sphere Exhibits, the events and exhibition subsidiary of Singapore Press Holdings, has set up a trade conferences arm to boost its presence in the local and regional MICE business arenas.
Sphere Conferences is headed by Ms Patricia Cheong, General Manager, who is a veteran in the industry with more than 15 years of experience in handling large scale conferences, conventions and exhibitions in sectors like telecommunications, banking and finance, transportation, and information and communication technology (ICT).
Sphere Conferences will specialise in both local and regional conferences, on topics ranging from hospitality and tourism, urban planning and infrastructure development to transportation and healthcare management.
Sphere Conferences has also identified Myanmar, Indonesia and Singapore as their key markets to develop their business and has received support and endorsement from industry players with interests in these high-growth economies.
Besides Sphere Conferences, Sphere Exhibits also owns BizLink Exhibition Services and Exhibits Inc which are organisers of trade and consumer events respectively. These include The Singapore Gifts and Premiums Fair, Franchising and Licensing Asia, COMEX, IT Show, and the World Food Fair among others.

SPH owns and manages Paragon, the prime retail and office complex in the heart of Orchard Road, Singapore's main shopping belt.
