Singapore, 17 July 2012 – Singapore Press Holdings' CATS Classified will be holding the CATS Recruit Scholarship & Top University Fair, the only event of its kind in Singapore, this Sunday (22 July) at Suntec Singapore.
This year’s CATS Recruit Scholarship & Top University Fair will feature almost 40 universities and 12 scholarship boards, targeted at students with outstanding calibre seeking scholarship support for their overseas studies at leading universities from the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany. Last year’s event drew a crowd of more than 20,000 aspiring scholars and parents.
Scholarship boards of premium employers which will be at the show include the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA), Nanyang Technological University, Yale-NUS College and Singapore Press Holdings. These scholarship boards will be looking to attract the brightest and most talented candidates at the event.
Amongst the prestigious line-up of top universities are the University of Warwick, the University of Nottingham, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Carnegie Mellon University, as well as seven out of the eight Ivy League universities - Cornell, Harvard, Columbia, Brown, Princeton, Yale and the University of Pennsylvania. These educational institutions will be fielded by students and officials to share insights and address queries from visitors.
There will also be a series of talks by the United States Education Information Center (USEIC), the British Council, and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). In addition, education consulting firm ICON+ will be sharing their expertise on how to do well in the SAT, a prerequisite for college admission in the US, as well as tips on how to gain acceptance to the university of choice.
To help students with the financial aspect of tertiary education, RHB Bank will also be present to offer various study-loan options.
