Singapore, 4 July 2012 – Over 200 golfers from the advertising fraternity will tee off at the annual SPH Advertising Golf Challenge 2012 on Friday, 6 July 2012. The tournament, to be held at Tanah Merah Country Club (TMCC) - Tampines Course, will be hosted by Mr Leslie Fong, Senior Executive Vice-President, Marketing.
The morning slots will be Time-Sheet based and starts from 7.15am, while the afternoon slots will begin with Shotgun Tee-off at 1.30pm. SPH Chairman Dr Lee Boon Yang will be a guest player in the afternoon slot.
The tournament format is Stableford play based on Double Peoria Handicapping.
One of the highlights of the SPH Advertising Golf Challenge 2012 is the Hole-In-One prize of a Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class Roadster SLK 200 BlueEFFICIENCY worth $169,100 (excluding insurance and COE), sponsored by Daimler South East Asia Pte Ltd, for Par 3 Holes 5, 11, 15 & 17.
*Please note that only amateurs with a USGA handicap are eligible to win the Hole-In-One prize.
In the evening, there will be a post-game cocktail reception and dinner at the ballroom of the the TMCC - Garden course, where the overall winner of the SPH Advertising Golf Challenge 2012 will be presented with the prestigious SPH Green Jacket.
All golfers will receive an exquisite luggage bag and a specially-designed ‘SPH IS ON‘ luggage tag.
