SPH Magazines won three awards at the MPAS Magazine Awards 2012

Singapore, 27 June 2012 – SPH Magazines Pte Ltd (SPH Magazines) won three awards at the MPAS Magazine Awards 2012 organised by the Magazine Publishers Association of Singapore or MPAS last night. The Awards, which recognise the best magazine publishing efforts and professionals in Singapore, were given out at the Raffles Hotel.

The Peak, Singapore's leading luxury lifestyle magazine, won an award for Consumer Magazine of the Year in a tie with Ink Publishing's TimeOut Singapore. SPH Magazines was also the winner of this category at the 2011 awards. 

The Peak Selections: Domain, a brand extension of The Peak, won the award for the Best Use of Photography / Illustration. This was the second year in a row that The Peak Selections: Domain won in this category. 

SPH Magazines' third win was by Nuyou for Best Single Article Design. Launched in 1976, Nuyou is the leading Chinese fashion and beauty magazine for bilingual career women. 

The Peak is read by corporate and business leaders for the exclusive success stories of today's movers and shakers. Besides the Singapore edition, it has editions in Malaysia, Indonesia and Hong Kong. It also has spin-off titles like The Peak Selections: Timepieces, The Peak Selections: Gourmet & Travel, and The Peak Selections: Domain. 

The Peak Selections: Domain is a brand extension of The Peak. This annual publication covers high-end design, architecture and homes in the region. Domain audiences are in the high net worth category, many of whom are The Peak's readers, with a growing number of world-class architects and designers.

This year, MPAS received 200 entries from 24 companies' 69 titles across its 17 categories. Winners were judged on areas such as editorial content, design and creativity, photography and illustration, advertising and marketing, digital media, individual professional excellence and overall magazine standards.

A panel of independent professionals was chosen by the MPAS Executive Committee to judge the Awards. This year's judges were:
