A wealth of investment opportunities at INVEST Fair 2012

Singapore, 4 April 2012 – ShareInvestor, the financial internet media and technology company and a subsidiary of Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), will host its sixth annual edition of INVEST Fair. It will be held on the weekend of 7-8 April 2012 at Exhibition Hall 401, Level 4, Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Centred on the theme “Invest with Knowledge”, the two-day event will feature more than 40 free and paid seminars where visitors will hear industry experts speak on the latest investment offerings and give their outlook on global economic developments. There will also be 30 exhibitors, comprising listed companies, financial institutions and training and education providers.

Some of this year’s speakers include Mr Richard Duncan, who is the author of "The Dollar Crisis: Causes, Consequences, Cures", an international bestseller that predicted the current global economic disaster with extraordinary accuracy. It made it to the top ten on Amazon's list of best-selling books. At INVEST Fair 2012, he will talk about investing in today’s difficult times.

Another speaker is Mr William Mallard, the Asia-Pacific Managing Editor for FX, Fixed Income and Economics at Dow Jones Newswires. He is also responsible for the coverage of currencies, bonds, macro-economic data and government & central-bank policy from 18 bureaus and offices across the region. For his talk, he will be speaking on five themes for the Forex market in 2012.

Other popular speakers include Mr Kevin Scully, Executive Chairman and Founder of NRA Capital; Mr Song Seng Wun, the Executive Director and Regional Economist in CIMB Research; and Mr Robert Miles, author and internationally acclaimed Warren Buffett scholar.

Investors looking for alternative investment vehicles can learn more about the SPDR Straits Times Index (STI) ETF at the “Investment with the STI” booth. They can also attend seminars to learn about the merits of investing in the STI Series, STI futures and other SGX structured products.

At INVEST Fair 2012, visitors can also find out more about investing in asset classes such as contracts-for-difference, derivatives, forex and land banking, among others.
