Singapore, 5 May 2011 – Singapore Press Holdings' CATS Recruit will be organising the Career Discovery 2011 this weekend at Suntec Singapore. Started in 2006, this is the fifth time the job-advertising newspaper has organised a career and education fair for fresh university and polytechnic graduates as well as professionals looking for a career switch or an upgrade of their qualifications and skills.
Career Discovery 2011 will feature more than 80 booths, comprising over 30 recruiting organisations from a diverse list of sectors including banking and finance, biomedical sciences, engineering, manufacturing, government, IT, retail, F&B and health care, as well as 14 education institutions.
Established organisations like Emerson Process Management Asia Pacific, ExxonMobil, Careers@Enterprise, SIA Engineering, Infosys Technologies and Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be amongst the premium employers at Career Discovery 2011. They will be joined by education providers such as the National University of Singapore - The School of Positive Psychology, Auston Institute of Management, and TMC Academy .
At the event, employers will conduct on-site interviews for candidates to fill a wide array of available jobs. Keen job seekers can also find out more about the company and drop off their resumes for follow-ups. Some education providers will be fielding their lecturers to share insights on course syllabus with visitors, as well as to address their queries.
In addition, visitors can also look forward to free career talks to prepare themselves for the job market and gain insights on career planning and development. As there are limited seats per session, visitors are advised to come early to avoid disappointment. There will also be a visitors' draw where two MacBook Pros worth $1,700 each will be given away.
Details of the event can be found on www.st701.com/careerdiscovery2011 and in Career Discovery's 24-page supplement that will be published in the CATS Recruit Executive Appointments section of The Straits Times on Saturday, May 7.
CATS Recruit would like to cordially invite you and your photographer/videographer to the event.
