Eat, Drink & Be Married!

Singapore, 27 April 2011 – Whilst one cannot live on love alone, one cannot live without it either. Seeking to attest to that, more than 50 couples  have registered to take part in a fun-filled and interesting stage contest at The New Paper Wedding Planner 2011, a biannual event organised by Singapore Press Holdings' CATS Classified.

Audiences at the event can look forward to seeing these couples feed each other with cupcakes as quickly as they can in the qualifying rounds, before they advance to the finals where they are required to build a champagne fountain. The top three winning couples who collect the most amount of champagne in the shortest time, will walk away with cash, a hotel stay and jewellery. There will also be two consolation cash prizes. The collective value of these fabulous prizes is worth more than $3,500!

Since 2002, The New Paper Wedding Planner exhibition has established itself as a comprehensive one-stop venue for couples looking for bridal products and services to plan for their dream wedding. This year's event features 30 booths offering a plethora of bridal products and services, including familiar brand names of the bridal industry such as Thomson Wedding Collection, Yvonne Creative Bridal & Photo Studio and others. Hotels and banquet providers are aplenty too, with the likes of Orchard Hotel Singapore, Orchid Country Club, Raffles Marina and many more. Other participating exhibitors include jewellery retailer Love & Co. and Rapellez, a beauty services provider. Visitors to the event can enjoy various promotions offered by the exhibitors.

Yvonne Creative Bridal & Photo Studio will also be putting together a bridal fashion show where couples can look at what are the latest designs of bridal gowns, evening gowns and groom suits available for their dream wedding.
All visitors who make purchases at the event will get to redeem a free exclusive four-teacup set from CATS Classified, and also stand to win attractive prizes such as a hotel stay, diamond necklaces and a weekend high tea buffet, collectively worth more than $10,000 in a lucky draw.

A 40-page supplement will be published in CATS Classified in The New Paper on Friday, 29 April.
